I thought it was. Met up with Vanice and Babajaga and had some fun nights of spinning, even when was of them was really really really cold. My next trip is to Australia in February, I'm looking forward to that one.

Well today i am supposed to take my first EVER bedding designs in to the company who want me designing for them. I was supposed to be having the meeting with the design director, but she cant make it, so im now having it with the company owner, arghh! scary!!.

I have to travel 3 hrs to get there, im more nervous now than when i went for the interview last week.

He hasnt seen my designs yet, and ive not been able to print them exactly as they wanted as they want the samples to scale, a whopping 64cm square. Argghhh! so ive pieced together the design on sheets of A3 paper, hope it doesnt look too bad, its a neat job, but not wholly professional, but then im not a professional, i cant afford 36 quid a crack to pay for each design to be printed on A0 paper.

Is it me being picky or would that cost a bit too much seeing as there are 4 to print, total cost £144. hmmmm methinks it takes the pee a bit, SO we'll see what they think.
Can't be that bad, the guy is really nice, he was the one who wanted my work, so i suppose if they want it that badly they wont mind it not being exactly right.

Its only the samples, the final designs i have saved im really happy with.

I only just left a degree with debts, as if i can afford all that. Havent even definately sold the designs yet.
Anywayz, im rambling when i really should be getting ready, ho humm, hope it all goes ok, ill probably write some thoughts later on it, *fingers crossed* mmmmm cuppa tea smile

It all went well, better than i expected, glad it did after 7 hours of travelling there and back LOL.
Mind you theres always something worrying me, a born worrier i am. I worry about worrying, which in itself is worrying isnt it..really.

Ah well xmas isnt far off, and im getting more and more fed up with it, its one day of the year, and we plan in for months before hand, why cant we start a couple of weeks before instead? LOL.
Im going to find this year especially hard, my nan was diagnosed with terminal cancer last xmas, and passed on shortly afterwards.
Dont want to sound too depressing, but the nearer it gets, the more im dreading it, id love to hibernate through it, then i wouldnt have to think about it all.
Ah well, spose i just have to get on with it like everyine else eh. Just going to be the hardest xmas ever without her here.
I suppose a lot of people have similar memories to mine.
Just have to try and enjoy it as best we can.

Well, its getting nearer, and im dreading it more, now, but i think a lot of that is that we've been selling xmas stuff for the last month, so i see it everyday lol.
Im starting to realise i think ill be ok, probably because i have to be, and partly because my nan wouldnt want me to be unhappy for her.
Its going to be hard anyway, i have to expect that.
My boyfriends mum said last year that the first year will be the worst, first birthday, xmas etc, but i found my birthday was fine, probably because birthdays arent a major thing for me these days, but she was right about xmas.

But i started thinking there are people a lot worse off than me.
My nan was 79, she had a good life and a long one. We also had time to make the most of things as it wasnt sudden, so ill always be grateful for that.

My grandad is going to need all the support in the world as is my mum, so once again im going to have to be strong for them.

I hope next year will be easier, im sure it will be.
For now im just going to make the most of the time i have with the rest of my family, im lucky in a lot of respects, i still have 3 of my grandparents left, so as a 25 yr old im bloody lucky to still have them here.

I just wanted to make a note of thanking everyone who's been here for me the past year, at times ive really bugged for people to talk to me, and no-one has ever got fed up or turned me away, so you know who you are, all of you. Thanks, ill try and make the most of xmas with the people i love and make it a good un.
hug
Hope you all have a wonderful xmas, and make the most of the time you have with friends and family smile

Well... some of the stuff thats been getting to me is now hopefully over, the woman making my life at work miserable has been reported and has been given a telling off (to put it mildly), ive been given a glowing report by my boss, says he cant fault my work in any way.
So.....at least that business is hopefully over, if not im to report her myself next time, and hell sort it.
Nice to know hard work and commitment to a company pays off.
So....im just about to go into work today, lets hope theres a difference in the way this woman treats me eh? LOL.

xmas isnt far off, so itll be all over soon, and normality can settle in again.

My degree that came thru the post is now sitting pride of place in a beautiful frame my mum put it in for me on the mantelpiece, so thats another part of my life completed, but that part im happy with.
I always wanted to get a degree, not to do with the piece of paper, but for the acheivement, something to prove to myself i suppose.
I never actually thought id get there.
Two years ago things were so different, i had no direction in life whatsoever, no idea what i wanted to do, and now i do, i cant beleive ive come so far in such a short space of time. Im not singing my praises here, ive just realised the difference in me.
My attitude to so many things has changed. I actually feel like an adult now ubblol , althought i have my silly moments, and im gullible and dipsy a the best of times. But i have the ability to look at things more objectively these days.
I also have made some good friends along the way, which is also a good thing
wink
Anyway, im feeling a bit better about myself today, no worries at work is great after the last two weeks ubblol.
