hi everyone,
My name is Lisa Jordan. I'v just spent 2 fantastic years working in the UK, travelling South Africa, Greece, Canary Islands, plus a few other places. If anyone's ever been to Newquay in the UK, they'l know what an absolutely mad party place it is, many different people living there, from surfers, to hippies. alot of fire twirling and african drumming going on, especially at beach and clifftop parties. So anyone ever going to the UK, Newquay in Summer is the ultimate place to go. Even better than Brighton. And from everywhere in the area, you can see beaches, the ocean, cliffs, it's sooo beautiful. Days practicing fire twirling are amazing.
I didn't start my twirling there, my friends weren't overally keen to show me, so i'v picked it up (poi) in the last 5 months since i'v been back in Australia. Still got alot to learn, haven't tried fire yet. Hopefully this week.
I live in Brisbane, unemployed at the moment. Hopefully heading down to Thredbo in a month to work the snow season. Then travelling to Italy, the UK and South Africa september to february to catch up with some family and mates. Then next year I'll be studying naturopathy in Brisbane for 3-4 years, then off travelling again round Europe and Asia. Travelling is so addictive, i just can't get enough of it.
I'm really into chilled out/ambient music, sometimes i'm into rave music, especially ibiza style. I really love bands like U2, Skunk Anansie, Dave Matthews Band, Couting Crows, Jackson Five... Beth Orton, David Gray, love Jazz, 70s, a bit of everything really.
favourite movie- i'v really got a thing for Endless summer 2. even though i don't surf, i'm obssessed with watching people surf and maybe one day when i get over my fear of sharks, i'll take it up. For the moment, i sail dinghy boats. at least the sharks can't get me (unless i capsize!)
My mate recently said that in a photo of me i look like a poppy flower, hence the nickname poppy.
I think that just about sums me up. Happy twirling guys.

naturopathy means natural therapies- basically instead of going to a doctor when ill, people can go to a natural therapist who treats the prob with massage, acupuncture, herbs, diet programs etc. All without putting chemicals in the body, whilst improving the bodys health and immune system. and it also treats the core problem of an illness as well as the symptoms.

Its good, but not always good enough! But It is worth while and loads of people buy homeopathic remedies from the chemist i work at!
