There are free poi lessons
from 8pm ish Every thursday in acton at Fairy bens swingers night. details here

Also contact and staff lessons/workshops/ really anyhting yuo want if you ask nicely.

So im going to co ordinate workshops if you would like to run one, or you have requests for moves or things that you want a workshop in in future weeks... Please post below:
maybe
Ewan teach some Meteors?
Davejez one handed tricks
Dom - poi and Silly poi
Lisa - doubles and dancing with style?
ryan has offered to do a ball contact session
Coleman said he would, but I'm not going to lean on him till he's done his exams. what do ya say cole, are you game..
adam - devilstick
anyone anything.
_________________________________

So the deal is that the lessons are free. (ben and co ask for a donation to come to the workshop for the space.) because I really love teaching this stuff (its the biggest secret of poi, that this is the way to really enjoy them) but the condition is that if you want to come to the lessons, then in future you have to try to teach these poi moves and help muchily anyone who asks for help with them. deal?
see you tomorrow
Hugs Drew

matter of opinion me thinks, but hey I'm game for a laugh if you guys are.

Drew this is a great idea, cheers for coming up with it.

I've had something really big crop up for tomorrow night so I'm not going to be able to make it (for BamBam) you know I'd much rather be with you guys.

Me BAD

Forgive me..

It'll never happen again......promise.

this week yep.
Last week I would have done a beginners workshop at 8 if any had come.
So instead wehad a wicked spinning session and a lot of peeple. This acton workshop has real potential to be as big and as groovy as the old tuesday night drome juggling/swinging/contact sessions (like 150 peeps every week!)

Workshops
Poi
I really want to do the beginners lesson
(at 8ish) but later something else
Maybe and airwrap workshop or something?
What moves do people want?

Fairy Ben said he was going to do a stick workshop this week too.

Whoop whoo.
and everything is groovy

hi, I was hoping to come along this thursday (assuming an open invitation!), and I've looked at the map, but I was wondering if there's an actual address, (or if we get to the road and look for smoke? )

Thanx....

Polythene - If you get to Cowley road (which isn't very big) its the mahoosive grey structure at the end of the road. There's a sign on the door that mentions something about juggling and workshops or juggling workshops. Its easy to find really

Dom and I did poi lesson last week,
We did requests last week and started with what it probably the hardest of the old school/ conventionl poi swinging moves that I can think of.
doesn't have a name, its another one of steves.

Well thats what you get if you ask.
And dom did some silly swings lessons and I did some BTL.
Which was nice.
More this week.
I've got over the flue so my brain will be a bit more organised this week, and I'm going to lean on fairy ben to do staff workshop
Be cool

WOOHOO! exams over so i get to come back to acton

can i have a repeat of last week's lessons please mr b?
i may well end up thrashing a guitar in the studio this week though! i hear they have a drum kit for the studio now

poi moves with no name don't count - in my experience all the good ones have at least two names.

This workshop is no more!

Hopefully it'll be relocated soon, but for now you'll just have to find something else to do. I thoroughly reccomend spinning in Sheppards Bush Green - a great way to meet exciting new people!
