Posted:This move is driving me crazy, and I'm not entirely sure why..

I have the figure eight down... and so now I'm starting to try the Weave...

I bring my right poi over my left arm on the left side, let it swing once, then switch my right arm under my left arm and let it swing again, but *EVERY* time, my left poi ends up hitting me on my right side...any suggestions?

I learnt it one hand at a time then tried putting it together.
Suddenly it clicks and alls well with the world.

seriously, you'll feel like a monkey, but i tried doing the weave unsucessfully for three months on chains, before i spent two afternoons just memorising the hand movements slowly and exagerated with spoons. The next day, picked up my chains and i didnt even have to think about it! it just happened. i think once my hands knew what they were doing by themselves i stopped struggling with it..... `

Currently on the right side up of the world.

Posted:With the little help of learning some liquid (flowing hand movements never hurt anyone) and watching someone do it in slow motion for what seemed like hours, I'm now able to do it, and it seems so natural now

Thanks for the info
