'ello there, not much to say here. Newbie as makes no difference person with interest in Poi trying to self-teach is what I am. Now for the list thingie

Godzilla vs. a Star Wars Star Destroyer. Who wins? Why? Easy. Star Destroyer. Godzillia will throw a sky scraper at it, impale the propulsion systems causing it to crash onto and squish Godzilla.
Favorite TV show(s): Hmm... don't really watch TV that much
Plans for life in general: At the moment it's to become something to do with Ancient History... Let's say Archaeologist as I've been watching too much Indiana Jones/Tomb Raider recently

That was aimed at SS. I found RT flights for 200 CAD. If he could find a way to Seattle there are RT flights for 150 USD. Plus, he's on a UK passport, so no visa required for US travel
Ascilith, just get in your car and drive it's only an 8 hour drive. Stop in Tulsa and make Bren split the fuel with you, lol.

It's amazing how relative it is though...in Vanuatu I was living on a tiny island, but it would be easier to cross Australia than it would be to get from one end of my island to the other.

Hmmm... Can see the difficulty.
What really blows my mind sometimes is the fact that many towns around here are from the 1800s. This means that they are about a day apart, by horse. I can get from here to northern Natal, over 1000km away, in the same time today.

Well then, I won't mention that within 2hrs of here you have the choice of beach, ski fields, jet boat/kayak/rafting rivers/lakes, trout/salmon/etc fishing, "desert", culture, east coast scenery, west coast scenery, native bush, high country tramping, and just about everything else you can think of. And I also won't mention that within 4 hrs drive you can be at either the top of the Island or the bottom of the island.
I won't mention it because otherwise people might get the idea we live in a small country!

oh, sorry, are we comparing what it's like for around here?
I'm one hour to the state capital, 15mins to the beach (surf beach. otherwise 5 to a non-surf beach), few hours to the mountains, few hours to the snow...
