Eminently possible. Lighter coloured handles are better, because most people spin poi at night, and probably with it being fairly dark. This is just to see them better.

"The best and simplest way of getting heavier flowlights which are more comfortable for people also spinning fire. If you use glowsticks this is not likely to add much but the additional weight will be welcome for most."
