I've been looking for them for a while here, but I think the heat may have them in hiding. Any help on sightings?

Anyway, hi, I'm brand new to this whole thing, and struggling to find my way around. Can you tell? This could possibly be the BEST website in the whole of cyberspace though.....

Peace and chocolate,

Chelle

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

OK guys, here's a little update!!

Name: Chelle (AKA chelly, chellybean, smelly, oi! or anything else that comes to mind....)

Location: highlands, scotland

Hometown: Nairn

DOB: 12 Dec 1981

Age: 24

Sex: Huh, huh, huh, you said sex.......

Occupation(s): daydreaming fairy

Favorite Food(s): ooo, does peanut butter count?

Favorite Color(s): purple, red and blue - oh yes, and I like green and yellow and orange and pink........

Toys: poi (duh), guitar, bucket and spades....

Hobbies other than the obvious: Music. Any form, any time. Festivals, paddling, climbing trees (if I don't fall - and even sometimes when I do..), dancing, making jewellery, travelling. My guitar and cameras are fun too.

Education: Was OK thanks. Did quite well.

Favorite Book(s): Catch 22. Also all Oor Wullie annuals!!!

Favorite Movie(s): Leaning towards A Night At The Roxbury at the moment. And of course, Amelie.

Favorite TV show(s): South Park, Family Guy, Simpsons, Prison Break, Big Love, CSI, anything on National Geographic..

Plans for life in general: (i.e. what you want to do when you grow up) I'm not going to grow up. But maybe complimentary therapies.

Favorite Music Artists/Composers: Oh lord, this wouldn't fit into a novel. I love music. Period.

Favorite ice cream flavor(s): Why do I have to make such tough decisions? Um, either cherry or pistachio.

Marmite, Vegemite, or Nutella? (please choose one...this is important as it is essentially this site's equivalent of stating your religion...we have religious wars, crusades, cathedrals to Nutella, all that.) What does vegemite taste like? I've never tried it. Likewise with marmite. I like nutella though, it's well tasty.......

woo hoo!!!!! Now you know all about me - it's your turn!!

It says that it can also be viewed by people with glass-bottomed boats. I tried making one so we could go see them. I got an inflatable dinghy and a piece of glass.
But, when I started to cut the rubber bottom out of the boat, it suddenly remembered it had a pressing engagement elsewhere and shot off hurriedly towards the horizon.
Skittish creatures these dinghies..

Not even the Kyrian one or the Pige shaped one neither *sulks*

Tea?

I hasn't seen Euripides for a while. Last I saw of him he and Sidekick were sailing off on a barge crafted from strawberry punnets and biscuit tins off into the inky blackness, down a river of something dubious....

It's the tracker dogs i feel sorry for. The monkeys could only find jack russells - .their legs aren't all that long and they don't get to ride in the boats...

Not much at all m'lady. I've been away gallavanting for the last 6 weeks or so, and as such, haven't been on here much. But it did get me out of the highlands for a while. wink

Other than that, just being at uni 7 days a week, working hard, and umm.....reading, since the weather's been pants. Hopefully I should be able to go out for a spin this evening though - if the rain stays away. biggrin

Hey Tom!! hug How've you been? ubbrollsmile

Don't pay me much attention - I'm not that fussed about working so much. I like working hard and having something for my brain to chew on. hug biggrin

That's good.... you got me scared for an instant.

I'm in Siem Reap at the very moment. Arrived yesterday, will leave back to Bangkok tomorrow evening. Am a bit annoyed and disgusted. Annoyed of myself, that I was listening to media reports ten years ago and did NOT come to Angkor because of Khmer Rouge and disgusted by those, who turn this beautiful place into a brothel and these beautiful ppl into hookers and crooks.

Don't listen to me either, the sun will be shining again wink

I've been there. It's very hot and the beggar children are a little intense. But they're lovely once you get chatting. And lots of fun if you offer to swap them things rather than flat out give them stuff. One day really isn't long enough to see the temples though.

You need to try and get to Ta Prohm before sun up tomorrow. That is when it is at its most spectacular, beautiful and mystical...

hug

Hey Chelly, how's you today? Feeling better yet? hug ubblove hug2

Thanks for the tip Cantus, I leave tomorrow evening - but things have turned around since yesterday. I love the people and the site (as long as I blur out all the crowds - but then again many of them have to blur me out just alike).

I'll be back - not very soon, but this lifetime... after all Siem Reap is not *all* of Cambodia (sigh)

You should try it in April. It's quieter then. A lot less tourists and all the fuss that they attract. Plus if you're there for Cambodian New Year (I forget the date. Sometime in April. Same time as the Thai one) you get even less peoples and the added fun of the locals throwing water bombs at you biggrin

Seriously though try to get to Ta Prohm for sunrise. It's magical smile
