Hi, I'm brand spanking new to HOP, never even new it existed until I stumbled upon it recently. Only just starting to get my sea legs as far as the technology thing goes. Just typed poi into a search engine and BAM, Here I am. And right glad I am too. Been spinning for years on and off, started in South Africa and the enthusiasm kinda waned once I got to the UK and refused to leave the warmth of indoors for months. Years later I am regaining my passion and learnig to accept that 26 degrees celcius is warm.
Think Hop is amazing, looking forward to learning and living and loving and growing.

oh yeah the Hop Calander is funny, happy Birthday if you were in New Zealand LoLo.
I dragged mine out 7 extra hours by talking to Americans online who were still living in my birthday Time Zone

I think that the exception was this year when I had some really cool new friends that threw me a party along with our usual Tarot Meetup...a surprise party at that...
Wait...I DID cry...but it was because I was touched....not because I was sad...
So far, 40 has been quite lovely...and hope that it continues on that way!!!

Thank you all for all the birthday wishes, I really did have the most beautiful birthday weekend imaginable. It got to midnight on Saturday and I had my traditional birthday cry, only this time it was out of happiness...thats never happened to me before. It started on friday with a few lovelly messages from a few lovelly HOPpers, and then my party, where all my beautiful beautiful friends went out of their way to make me happier than I thought possible, then , some HOPpers arrive for phase two of my party and the hardcore lot keep on going strong. We had a cake fight and the biggest party popper I have ever seen in my life.
We celebrated for three days solid, no breaks, no rest. I really do have the most beautiful friends in the universe, thank you all for being so very amazing.
