So here I am again. It's been a while hasn't it. My alto sax initially got a lot of use. Funny isn't it, how a fulltime job takes away all your spare time. Haven't had any time to poi too, apart from Jugglejam on Mondays and the monthly Moonfests. And even then, it somehow seems I tend to play with the stockwhip instead of poi shrug

Another lens has been added to the stable too. A Canon EF-S 10-22 3.5-4.5.. nice and wiide. But it all boils back down to that time issue. Despite having the new lens, I seem to find I'm out taking less pictures.. the folio hasn't been updated in a while, and I'm starting to get the horrible feeling I'm stagnating. Must. Get out of this rut.

If you're my muse and reading this, inspiration needed now. hug

-Edited 14 Dec 2005-

I liken this to opening the fridge to find that jar of misc what's it, several months expired ubblol. Hey how's it going? wave

So what's new! Well.. poi's getting a bit better for one thing. Nice how after poi-ing for a while, you stop hitting yourself senseless. In fact, one might argue how after a certain point, each hit puts more sense into you.. wink Haven't gone skating or rockclimbing in a bit, but that's ok- life's full of wonderful distractions, and really, you can only do a couple at a time.

University's just wrapped up! Yep. A degree in art & visual culture, television & digital media.. Just waiting for a piece of paper at the moment (yay!). And trying to sort out how Australia will let me live here forever and ever biggrin. Have I mentioned how wonderful it is, you so ought to visit *nudge* wink Also been getting out the with photography and stuff- a couple of projects to follow up on, blue skies and puffy clouds as far as I can see.

Updates updates. [insert geek] I've updated my camera gear too.. my 20D, 17-85 4-5.6 IS and 580EX now have a 70-200 2.8L IS to play with.. soon too, riding on getting a particular gig, either a 350D and a 24-105 f4 IS, or another 20D.. -grin- [/end geek]

[edit 14/12/05: Gig didn't go through, and ended up performing at it instead of shooting it ubblol Life has a funny way of messing you about doesn't it.. so no 2nd body for me just yet, or nice 24-105 f4 IS redface]

Been taking lots of photos lately. I think there's something intrinsically beautiful in capturing moments- you know how you look at a photo and it brings you back to where you were that day, who you were with, how the air smelt even.. Maybe one day I'll get to exhibit ubblove.. but yeah.. lots of work to be done meantime.

Hmmmm.. yes the world's beautiful today. It's good to have new toys, new moves, new direction.. old friends hug.. a best friend hug2, and enough distractions not to get bored for too long.

Btw.. favourite words haven't changed.. ubbrollsmile And mm.. I'm still not too close to balletic, and dulcet..

Hmm.. la la la laaa squawk.. footinmouth

[edit 14/12/05: I now have a beautiful alto saxophone- the best use of which I have thus far found, is to attract ducks and other misc waterfowl]

Yep, how about we say still aspiring. biggrin

Hope all's well with everyone- don't be strangers now! hug biggrin

I've been exploring this site a bit lately, and have decided everyone seems like a nice bunch- thought it's about time I said hello. Ryan, 24, born in Singapore, but Brisbane Australia has been home to me for the past 3 years.

I love photography, playing the guitar (if one took a picture of me with my guitar, it looks like I'm playing it- does that count?), getting from point A to B on my trusty mountain bike, inline skating and hockey, occasionally rockclimbing, and just being in good company. I'd also like to add poiing to the list when I stop hitting myself senseless.

Irrelevantly, my two favourite words (I've got heaps if anyone's interested) are 'balletic' and 'dulcet'. 'Balletic', unfortunately, isn't a word I'd use to describe anything I can do, and 'dulcet' is a word I haven't dreamt of aspiring towards yet.

Enough for now, don't be strangers! biggrin

Sam: Sounds like the best way to start the new year- you know.. friends and things.. not school weirdness ubblol And the heat. Ugh. You don't want the heat! I'd sooner prefer it 5 degrees outside than this 35 in the shade deal.. footinmouth

Was blustery as the hundred acre woods, but luckily the rain didn't really hit til the show was over- then we all got really soggy- before carrying on to dance ourselves dry at the Full Moon Hotel- Doch was playing!! ubblove ubblove ubblove

Ry hun, unless the move Austrailia a lot closer or they get a way of getting me there that doesn't involve planes or long sea voyages, that isn't going to happen all that soon. I get claustraphobia in planes due to feeling locked in and I get uber sea sick on boats once you get out into open water.

Besides I don't think Oz would let me stay. I have nothing to offer them and they don't like incomers without lots of money or a skill they really need.

So don't make me spank you. Stop poiching all the spinners! You have all the sunshine, isn't that enough for you ubblol

Lynne: When were you on a plane last? Imagine if you were born in Australia! You'd never leave- everywhere's so far away.. ubblol Any plans to deal with it head on? Maybe a couple of small flights around Europe perhaps?

And re sunshine.. lol.. I think we've got far too much sunshine, and not enough people to shine it evenly on. The people who get it, as a result, get too much. Hence the justification for poiching. If you were here, you'd be a poicher too ubblol hug

Rhys: Now there's a thinker at work.. beerchug Plus a boat would carry all her hoops and stuff.. That's got to be the best option! What say you miss Skuwwie? ubbangel

Lou: No no.. not too far.. The plan's to get her really really tired, and when she fall's asleep, we winch her out and fly her the rest of the way.. She'll wake up in Australia, and will not be able to leave because she a> won't want to attempt the swim again, b> won't fly or boat it.. It's foolproof! biggrin

So, what are the realistic chances of you actually coming out this way? Sounds like a potential plan.. if you can get over the bother of relocating.. it'd be worth it though. wink

It wouldn't be fair to make you come over here and pay my rent otherwise tongue The least I could do biggrin
