Hello,
I am dancing with a fire levitation wand. the metal rod gets very hot after a dance, and I am interested in trying some new tricks that involve having the metal touch my body. Any ideas for good fire resistant/heat resistant wrapping materials (i.e. tapes) that I could cover the metal with. Let me know if you have had any experiences, or have any recommendations.

You could try exhaust header wrap, but I'm not sure it would work all that well since it's designed to stop radiant heat and not conductive heat transfer.
Your best bet is to try to protect your body with Kevlar sleeve like material. Although they canfuel still soak up any fuel you use so it's still not fool proof.
