So here I am again. It's been a while hasn't it. My alto sax initially got a lot of use. Funny isn't it, how a fulltime job takes away all your spare time. Haven't had any time to poi too, apart from Jugglejam on Mondays and the monthly Moonfests. And even then, it somehow seems I tend to play with the stockwhip instead of poi shrug

Another lens has been added to the stable too. A Canon EF-S 10-22 3.5-4.5.. nice and wiide. But it all boils back down to that time issue. Despite having the new lens, I seem to find I'm out taking less pictures.. the folio hasn't been updated in a while, and I'm starting to get the horrible feeling I'm stagnating. Must. Get out of this rut.

If you're my muse and reading this, inspiration needed now. hug

-Edited 14 Dec 2005-

I liken this to opening the fridge to find that jar of misc what's it, several months expired ubblol. Hey how's it going? wave

So what's new! Well.. poi's getting a bit better for one thing. Nice how after poi-ing for a while, you stop hitting yourself senseless. In fact, one might argue how after a certain point, each hit puts more sense into you.. wink Haven't gone skating or rockclimbing in a bit, but that's ok- life's full of wonderful distractions, and really, you can only do a couple at a time.

University's just wrapped up! Yep. A degree in art & visual culture, television & digital media.. Just waiting for a piece of paper at the moment (yay!). And trying to sort out how Australia will let me live here forever and ever biggrin. Have I mentioned how wonderful it is, you so ought to visit *nudge* wink Also been getting out the with photography and stuff- a couple of projects to follow up on, blue skies and puffy clouds as far as I can see.

Updates updates. [insert geek] I've updated my camera gear too.. my 20D, 17-85 4-5.6 IS and 580EX now have a 70-200 2.8L IS to play with.. soon too, riding on getting a particular gig, either a 350D and a 24-105 f4 IS, or another 20D.. -grin- [/end geek]

[edit 14/12/05: Gig didn't go through, and ended up performing at it instead of shooting it ubblol Life has a funny way of messing you about doesn't it.. so no 2nd body for me just yet, or nice 24-105 f4 IS redface]

Been taking lots of photos lately. I think there's something intrinsically beautiful in capturing moments- you know how you look at a photo and it brings you back to where you were that day, who you were with, how the air smelt even.. Maybe one day I'll get to exhibit ubblove.. but yeah.. lots of work to be done meantime.

Hmmmm.. yes the world's beautiful today. It's good to have new toys, new moves, new direction.. old friends hug.. a best friend hug2, and enough distractions not to get bored for too long.

Btw.. favourite words haven't changed.. ubbrollsmile And mm.. I'm still not too close to balletic, and dulcet..

Hmm.. la la la laaa squawk.. footinmouth

[edit 14/12/05: I now have a beautiful alto saxophone- the best use of which I have thus far found, is to attract ducks and other misc waterfowl]

Yep, how about we say still aspiring. biggrin

Hope all's well with everyone- don't be strangers now! hug biggrin

I've been exploring this site a bit lately, and have decided everyone seems like a nice bunch- thought it's about time I said hello. Ryan, 24, born in Singapore, but Brisbane Australia has been home to me for the past 3 years.

I love photography, playing the guitar (if one took a picture of me with my guitar, it looks like I'm playing it- does that count?), getting from point A to B on my trusty mountain bike, inline skating and hockey, occasionally rockclimbing, and just being in good company. I'd also like to add poiing to the list when I stop hitting myself senseless.

Irrelevantly, my two favourite words (I've got heaps if anyone's interested) are 'balletic' and 'dulcet'. 'Balletic', unfortunately, isn't a word I'd use to describe anything I can do, and 'dulcet' is a word I haven't dreamt of aspiring towards yet.

Enough for now, don't be strangers! biggrin

hey sweetie, forgot to say take a look in my gallery to see some of what I am up to at the moment. I am pleased with that one! Working on the other two sections. That one represents the middle of the story. The first one has more of an abandoned decaying garden feel, and in the last it is bright and blooming... Just realized that will only make sense if you know the story( Secret Garden) . Ah well.

Mostly just working, big show this weekend. ! 2000 people! I am kinda scared. Thats a lot of people. But mostly just not so into all the travel hassle to actually get there etc. I swear, it is easier to just get to Thailand than to the interior of BC...
Hugs to you

I hope your work's going ok.. you've been much quieter today, which isn't to be confused with 'quiet'. ubblol Still seeing mountain goats?

This one looks more like a cow than a goat, but he's cute, hey! I want one. Think he'd get along with Szechuan, Kungpow, Prata and Lao? Just think how fast this one could pull a billy cart.

Hey Ry, I on a whim purchased this camera:Olympus Stylus 720 SW Digital. Ilooked at the one you recommended most, and it seemed just a litle big for me- and I figured I would not use the manual so much since I have a canon manual camera for that sort of photograghy... I got excited about the waterproof shock proof features of the olympus. But did I make a mistake? What do you think of this camera? I have 15 days to return it if you tellme it sucks...

I have read reveiws both good and bad, and dont know what to think!

But I seem to be prone to disaster lately, and though durability and smallness were important. But not at the sacrifice of clear images!

Oh, shoulda pmed this, sorry!~

Hope all is well in your world!

Will send sample pics of deer as soona s I catch up on sleep, super tired right now!

Want a new definition of Hell?devil

There was a huge storm here the last few days, eek wiped out power to over 200000 peoples homes, all the ferries were canceled( so I got stranded) mudslides, flooding... maddness. But the truely hellish bit is now the water is undrinkable, so everyone has to use bottled water-- in the whole lower mainland, including the entire city of Vancouver!:(

Why is this super hellish?
confused Well, all of the coffee shops closed! excl Imagine, a whole city deprived of their coffee! I can not even imagine Vancouver without coffee. No espresso?! eekAlarming.eek The place is addicted, Starbucks on each corner. What will people use to counter the effects of all the crazy strong pot they smoke? Cocaine? Yikes. Things are about to get ugly. angry

The whole city will descend into maddness if this lasts longer than a day. ubbloco Maddness I say! Even the International airport is without coffee. Imagine a eight hour layover, no coffee...

God, I hoped they declared martial law.

Thankfully I caught the last ferry home last night and am safe from the effects of mass citywide withdrawl! tongue
