So here I am again. It's been a while hasn't it. My alto sax initially got a lot of use. Funny isn't it, how a fulltime job takes away all your spare time. Haven't had any time to poi too, apart from Jugglejam on Mondays and the monthly Moonfests. And even then, it somehow seems I tend to play with the stockwhip instead of poi shrug

Another lens has been added to the stable too. A Canon EF-S 10-22 3.5-4.5.. nice and wiide. But it all boils back down to that time issue. Despite having the new lens, I seem to find I'm out taking less pictures.. the folio hasn't been updated in a while, and I'm starting to get the horrible feeling I'm stagnating. Must. Get out of this rut.

If you're my muse and reading this, inspiration needed now. hug

-Edited 14 Dec 2005-

I liken this to opening the fridge to find that jar of misc what's it, several months expired ubblol. Hey how's it going? wave

So what's new! Well.. poi's getting a bit better for one thing. Nice how after poi-ing for a while, you stop hitting yourself senseless. In fact, one might argue how after a certain point, each hit puts more sense into you.. wink Haven't gone skating or rockclimbing in a bit, but that's ok- life's full of wonderful distractions, and really, you can only do a couple at a time.

University's just wrapped up! Yep. A degree in art & visual culture, television & digital media.. Just waiting for a piece of paper at the moment (yay!). And trying to sort out how Australia will let me live here forever and ever biggrin. Have I mentioned how wonderful it is, you so ought to visit *nudge* wink Also been getting out the with photography and stuff- a couple of projects to follow up on, blue skies and puffy clouds as far as I can see.

Updates updates. [insert geek] I've updated my camera gear too.. my 20D, 17-85 4-5.6 IS and 580EX now have a 70-200 2.8L IS to play with.. soon too, riding on getting a particular gig, either a 350D and a 24-105 f4 IS, or another 20D.. -grin- [/end geek]

[edit 14/12/05: Gig didn't go through, and ended up performing at it instead of shooting it ubblol Life has a funny way of messing you about doesn't it.. so no 2nd body for me just yet, or nice 24-105 f4 IS redface]

Been taking lots of photos lately. I think there's something intrinsically beautiful in capturing moments- you know how you look at a photo and it brings you back to where you were that day, who you were with, how the air smelt even.. Maybe one day I'll get to exhibit ubblove.. but yeah.. lots of work to be done meantime.

Hmmmm.. yes the world's beautiful today. It's good to have new toys, new moves, new direction.. old friends hug.. a best friend hug2, and enough distractions not to get bored for too long.

Btw.. favourite words haven't changed.. ubbrollsmile And mm.. I'm still not too close to balletic, and dulcet..

Hmm.. la la la laaa squawk.. footinmouth

[edit 14/12/05: I now have a beautiful alto saxophone- the best use of which I have thus far found, is to attract ducks and other misc waterfowl]

Yep, how about we say still aspiring. biggrin

Hope all's well with everyone- don't be strangers now! hug biggrin

I've been exploring this site a bit lately, and have decided everyone seems like a nice bunch- thought it's about time I said hello. Ryan, 24, born in Singapore, but Brisbane Australia has been home to me for the past 3 years.

I love photography, playing the guitar (if one took a picture of me with my guitar, it looks like I'm playing it- does that count?), getting from point A to B on my trusty mountain bike, inline skating and hockey, occasionally rockclimbing, and just being in good company. I'd also like to add poiing to the list when I stop hitting myself senseless.

Irrelevantly, my two favourite words (I've got heaps if anyone's interested) are 'balletic' and 'dulcet'. 'Balletic', unfortunately, isn't a word I'd use to describe anything I can do, and 'dulcet' is a word I haven't dreamt of aspiring towards yet.

Enough for now, don't be strangers! biggrin

Hi hello Mr angel and everyone. Need to catch on on Hop-time but now is not that time... just a quick hello. No Macca's today Ry! You're still banned! (Ry decided to ban himself from Macca's for the rest of September but had a slip up yesterday)

In other news...

Pat! T'will be so nice to see you at The Forest on Sat! I can't wait!

Lou, frown <- CG. Can you delete my badge order.

how did I manage to read that and not see the impossibility of the situation? perhaps xated meant juggling balls...? or something...?

shouldn't be too hard to stay away from macca's ry... stuff is mostly pretty disgusting (although the new mccafe thingies make it *almost* bearable)

likewise, pip!! haven't spent nearly enough time in west end lately... think I might to make it down to the markets beforehand...

Hmm I tend to agree with you on Macca's, Pat. The problem comes down to the old cliche..

"If you are what you eat...

Then I'm fast, cheap and easy"

(Joke, btw... it seems I can never tell a good joke. I'm one of those people... I get to the punchline and people still wonder what I'm talking about. I tend to have to point out where I'm joking, which is the punchline, and when to laugh)

*laugh now please*

Jean: Conflicting rumours now.. not sure if there'll be any announcement at all tomorrow.. shrug Though I guess even if there wasn't, it'd still be a good thing because that'd mean I could just go ahead and buy the second body now. mm.. Does a 20D + a 30D = a 50D? biggrin

Yeah.. I quite like the yellow one too, just I don't think it'd match anything I've got to wear ubblol But it'd be heck of a lot easier to spot bobbing along in the ocean.. mmmm...

Lou: bah. It'd be easier to let it go if you just thought about its silly buttons.. wink Speaking of buttons, no don't cancel Pip's badge order! gah. HoPper with no badge.. really.

Hey hope you're feeling a bit better and not letting silly people get you down.. plus common ground's coming up soon- you're going to have heaps of fun no? hug

Adam: How are the warps going? I thought a warp was when you throw the poi and they disappear, a defenestration is a move from this family.. An antiwarp, I postulated, was a poi you threw, and maybe hit somebody or something, and you saw where it landed..

*momentarily pretends not to notice Pat and Adam admiring each other's boobies, tits and arses..*

Yeah, the Thai coup was big news.. I wonder what's going on with it now. Haven't heard much in the news since..

Fired?! eek

Pip: Maccas.. 20 piece nuggets all clear in t minus 6 days. And you.. ubblol If you didn't clean up your car yesterday I know you'd have a little catalogue of burger/muffin wrappers in your door! ubblol

And you need a badge I tell you. No badge no HoP. tongue

The Forest was a good idea too.. woke up this morning with Chocolate Strings in my head.. the one something too close to nothingness thing thing. ubblove hug

Pat: Nup. Macca's is quite edible to me. I wouldn't eat it everyday, but I shure get cravings for the pickles in their cheeseburgers... And 20 piece nuggets... mmmm nuggets. devil

Out of curiosity.. why are mcmuffins so dusty?? grr!

Yeah. Been on a bit of a break lately. So much to do, hardly time to unwind.. Found myself on some page far far away frown *sigh* Need to get my act together eh?

Andrea: You and Pat? Spill! *pokes Andrea with a spoon the way one would poke a badger with a spoon* smile

Kristy: Sorry to hear about your nana. hug Feel better soon k?

Thought I'd need the snakes last Sunday, but luckily I didn't. Probably when you next get to juggle, else maybe I'll give you a postal address?

Krispy Kremes ubblol.. I've got a bit of a donut craving this morning.. Will probably have to wait a bit though- can't foresee myself getting a donut anytime soon. But then again. That's probably a good thing, no? mmm donut..

Uk uk.. Yes.. have to see how it all works out, but if we can fit London and/or Cornwall in, that's be sooper. Must check with my mum to see what the xmas situation is.. Heard she's in Singapore for work at the moment, will probably ring her tonight.

Yes. Phoney phone people. Grr! ubblol

hello wavehello

Don't mind me, just browsin... couldn't help but notice some UK plans in the making biggrin man, all you need to do is get yourself to Bristol and you're sorted! Bristol is the spinning magnet of the entire island! we've sucked people in from all the spinny areas (like Sheffield, London, Birmingham, Guildford, yes.. even from out in the backwards sticks of Cornwall) and still actually bother gettin off our slack asses to meet up at circusoc sundays or fire-wednesdays biggrin biggrin

hmmm, does this sound like a plug?! ubblol it's not really sposed to be. I don't even live here permanently anymore, but it's just the best place to come back to and there's just a whole load of inspiring spinners and performers here ubbrollsmile Bristol rocks. bounce2 bounce

anyway, I'll wander off after this mini invasion/strange-sounding tourist advertisment.

bye! bye
