Hi to all you twirlers and HoP lovers!
I'm Malcolm's latest addition to the HoP family with my first day of work here at HoP today (Mon 16th Oct 06) and I see lots of fun ahead (as well as a huge learning curve)! I am totally new to poi so I hope I don't make too many dumb comments!
A bit about me then:
George McNeur, male, age... "enough"!
Family: wife Heather, 3 boys 12, 13, & 15.
Location - Christchurch, NZ.
working career: Electronics Engineering - 15yrs RNZAF, 6 yrs in Test/Manufacturing and 6.5 yrs network products R&D.

It amazes me how this tank and pogo stick conversation is spanning about 4 intro threads. And that everyone can still follow what's happening.

I think you've missed the additional welcomes that I've done in the tank, three that I can think of at the moment. The fun part about posting in several threads is that it's fun running down little bits of it here and there. It's like coming into the middle of a conversation and someone says it's on tape, go watch it.

Do you know what hokey pokey is??? Do you get crunchy bars over there? or Violet crumble (not quite as good Ozzy copy)?
It's a Kiwi classic - you have to try sometime. Vanilla ice-cream with small chunks of hokey pokey in... yummy yum yum!

Well there is another flavor of ice cream I'm going to miss out on. The only thing I know that I do have here is vanilla ice cream. What does a crunchy bar consist of? I wonder if it's anything like Nestle Crunch, chocolate with crisped rice, because I know we don't have anything called Violet crumble.

when you come down here to NZ I'll buy you a hokey pokey ice cream. You can't say if you've lived until you've had one!
crunchy bar = a candy bar sized solid chunk of hokey pokey covered in chocolate.
Hokey pokey = yellowy-orange colored cooked sugar and golden syrup with lotsa air bubbles in it:

I used to always read Enid Blyton books as a kid and wonder what that "treacle" stuff was and why I didnt get any!
