has anyone got any ideas for making my staff heavier? its tooooo light, but im not sure what i can do to make it heavier!

nahhh lol its a broomstick from robert dyas ^_^ because im cool, its literally a light wooden pole, iv used electrical tape as a handle and to jazz it up a bit but thats all.

Lead. Strap a couple of tonnes of lead to either end.

Try tearing up some tea towels and taping them to the ends... you'll get a bit of momentum then...
or find heavier wood
Aliminium is very good for making staffs. AND you can put wood inside it for extra weight.
My personal favorite material for adding weight is kevlar. It also soaks up fuel quiet nicely. Which makes it even heavier. and flammable

Alu staffs are good, yes. Also you can vary the weight by changing the wood used as a core. For example; pine dowel will be very light and quite cheap. Not sure what other dowel is regularly available but most wood is heavier than pine

and, quite simply, as soon as i get home after my sydney adventures i'll finish my 'how to search' article that i'll be able to link to when i do these things. no matter how many people say it the newbies still have to learn eventually. you'd actually be suprised how many times i've refrained from doing that, occasionally i let it slip, hopefully so people will take it upon themselves to get educated.
