Hello, just started learning to juggle blindfolded and have managed 30 catches cool
Not bad I think for 1 day of trying, although sat listening to my drumming class playing african djemba helped me to keep a rythym going. biggrin
Anyone out there got any tips
juggle

A couple of balls short of a full cascade... or maybe a few cards short of a deck... we'll see how this all fans out.

i do a little bit of this - i think it generally helps with form and throwing technique.

i reckon if you can get thirty catches you are well on your way but in case anyone else fancies having a go, here are a few really basic tips:

- maintain a good, consistent posture (back straight, elbows at sides)

- use a fairly low pattern with lots of scoop to begin with

- try juggling and just closing your eyes for 2 or 3 catches, open them again, stabalise the pattern if required and repeat

- always visualise the pattern

or you could always just get a fake blindfold... wink

Cheers. I just jumped in learning to juggle blindfolded in the same way I learnt normally.
first 1 ball
then 2
then 3...
1 ball is easy and I found if you reduce the pattern to a series of single throws then it's easier to visualise the pattern juggle

try breathing in pattern with your clubs/balls /fire torches, it helps especially with the fire.

keep your head still. This is important to keeping a good mental map of the orientation of the balls in flight. 30 catches is well good!

Mill mess blindfolded isn't too difficult - sounds near impossible but isn't too bad, just remember to imagine where balls are, and go into from blind cascade

clubs !! eek
I do it sitting down so that could be tricky.. done 6 catches mills's mess blindfold but found it more likely tolodge a ball in a nearby ear than catch it... ubblol

My frend Lance always wins the blindfolded juggling contests at juggling festivals. He uses chain maile balls because he can hear them. They still chime a little in the air.
