Video now available in the 'television' section of www.poiinthepark.net, thank you very much mech!

Right, instead of doing the work I should've been, I just edited together the footage I had from Clapham. Sorry for the dodgy quality, but compressing from 102megs to 18.2megs has that effect! Hope you enjoy it, sorry to those who feel they were left out, and hugs to every single one of you!

P.S if anyone needs some extra footage (including some of the tree incident) I have a fair bit left over!

Not sure I agree with this whole "Put the video out the day after the event" policy.

Surely you have to wait at least 2 months after the event... wink

On the powerisers is Keith, from guildford, who is allergic to keyboards so isn't on HoP. Possibly. Not that it matters if this is the truth or not, he's not going to be reading this so I can lie as much as I want about him biggrin

sorry dude. But you did a lot right too.. anyway, that was one of my favorite shots for the composition and the way it blurred when the other person came to the foregroud... and you got it right straight after. It's just hard to only film everyone getting stuff right at the same time AND get a nice shot..

no i would call this being anti-slack

i also agree its not right to release vids on the same day, its just not natural

what i think it means iis that you did not play enough, if you had, you would be worn out and then not do it when you got home

or you must be a student, and have FAR to much time on your hands

ubblol

nice vid, your first?

Oh well, at least I was there for a bit and I got to see the tree incident. I'll stay longer next time. Was really lovely to meet you all. Next time I'll make an effort to introduce myself to more random people. Cheers for a lovely day. hug

This seems to have been very controversial!;)
ok, so this is how I made the video within 24 hrs:

Got home at midnight on the first of may and had a watch through the vid with the gf to show her what she missed (she only arrived about 6pm at Clapham after being at work) but it also gave me an idea of what was on there
Got out of bed at noon the day after.
Uploaded from the camera while I was in the shower.
Tried to do my essays but got distracted by the temptation of video.
Using windows movie maker:

picked out all the favorite bits from the vid.
stuck them in chronological order.
used the transitions to try and link it together a bit.
(probably took a couple of hours to do that)

Remembered hearing 'rose rouge' that day so stuck it in the track (luckily it was exactly the right length!).
Stuck it on dr.divx and went back to my essay.
Deleted my old (not very good) vids and put PiP on my hosting.
Went back to essays while it was uploading.
Posted on hop once everything was in place.
Total time: 5hrs if you count every process

Disclaimer: Bear in mind, I didn't have to deal with problem hosting or broken cameras. If I did it would have been much longer!

mech: Thanks! yes i'm an ma student smile . I've been playing around with vids on movie maker for a while. I find it's quite quick and easy to use. I have posted a couple on Hop in the past, but I had more fun with this one due to the footage being really varied and not just of me spinning.

strugz: well if you will do cool stuff like contact while sitting down, and spinning under big X's in the sky... tongue

looks good, my only critism is that there's a bit too much spinning in your spinning video, which isn't a true representation of the laziness of people at clapham meets smile

Pink: don't worry about it - after all I was wearing my contacts instead of glasses, and I didn't have a camera at Falmouth! Oh and I was pretty much sober instead of completely wasted, which may have made a difference! so you are most definitely forgiven hug

sorry about putting you on the vid, but you were an important part of that particular meet... smile
