Hi, I'm brand spanking new to HOP, never even new it existed until I stumbled upon it recently. Only just starting to get my sea legs as far as the technology thing goes. Just typed poi into a search engine and BAM, Here I am. And right glad I am too. Been spinning for years on and off, started in South Africa and the enthusiasm kinda waned once I got to the UK and refused to leave the warmth of indoors for months. Years later I am regaining my passion and learnig to accept that 26 degrees celcius is warm.
Think Hop is amazing, looking forward to learning and living and loving and growing.

A couple of balls short of a full cascade... or maybe a few cards short of a deck... we'll see how this all fans out.

Miss you too man. Must arrange a visiting at some point. Tis all just a bit hectic at the mo, going to Bestival this weekend, the Ben moves in, then its our anniversary, then my mom comes to visit...there just arn't enough days.
I hope HOP gets sorted out soon. I really don't like being called africa and my avatar is gone and I have no other copy of that pic, and I'm a stranger and I can only use a weird password to log in. Grumpf!

The flat is looking lovely now, just need some carpet for the hallway and upstairs and to paint the bannisters now all the furniture is in. Dom starts school on Monday
had to take the day off for that *dotes* A couple of balls short of a full cascade... or maybe a few cards short of a deck... we'll see how this all fans out.

I'm booking myself on a pyrotechnics course too so I can use pretty exploding thingies in a show. We have Tinks little girl Steph staying with us at the moment I can tell you now DON'T have 2 kids it's not trouble doubled, it's trouble squared marie is having a fit at the moment.

Well Bestival was a washout, it rained the entire weekend, I had to abandon my tent and everything because the mud just ate it all. I feel so sorry for the clean up crew. I spent the entire weekend cold and wet and covered in mud and unable to sit down. I left the festival early with Ben as I had had enough. on the plus side, having returned early from the festival, I got to spend two whole days in Ben's bed while he went to work. I'm hoping thats my token muddy festival. I really really don't want to do that again! Saying that though, I got to spend much quality time with my boy, which is always nice.
Ben moves in in 3 days! 3 DAYS! 3 DAYS!!!!!! WOOOOOO AND YAY!!!! He is all good thanks, infact, I think he's getting better and better, which makes me a very happy lady.
Hope that the little ones don't drive you two too mad!

I'm mad already hun :loco: I'm gutted for you that your festival was a wash-out
So Ben moves in Tomorrow eh naughty, naughty lady, living in sin and all that. hope it all goes well. lifes strange at the moment, dom at school, new house, I've been there over 2 weeks now and I still haven't slept a whole night through feels weird after living in my flat for 7 years... A couple of balls short of a full cascade... or maybe a few cards short of a deck... we'll see how this all fans out.

Al. I know, tis been ages, don't have as much free time as I used to so less time on HOP and less time for festies and meets :(, But otherwise all is good in the hood.The love of my life has moved in with me and we are living in bliss; I'm getting more confident at my job; my mom is coming to visit from South Africa in a few weeks; and I'm now working towards two qualifications, so I've been a busy busy bee! How are you sir?
Oh dear Mynci, have you managed to sleep a full night yet? meh I'm fine now, the heaviest thing in the flat is ME
glad you're happy my dear we have neighbours, we have neighbours our friends have moved in next door and another friend has moved in right next to my old place I have lots of local friends at last :tribal: (now why doesn't hop have that most impportant of smilies?)oh btw Southern Lights has moved
not sure where yet, we have a new venue (bigger with no noise restrictions) but we're looking for somewhere even better although on the down side this means we have to do it all again

I think you should move it closer to Brighton
It's nice having friends close by, thtas why I like living where I do now, most of my frinds live within 10 minutes walk, tis very nice

huh? Where? I need to buy a new tent for next year since mine is no more after bestival. Have seen one from Blacks that has an LED lighting system in it that looks cool, but I think I'll just be happy as long as I get one with a porch this time!

the tents I saw are marquees, big tops , beduin (gorgeous) , inflatable, military and spikey want some nice tentage for festimarie has some battery operated halloween lights we use in the tent... glowing eyeballs

I also have some new fangled magic telly box that straps to my car with a small woman inside who screams I'm going in the wrong direction when I'm not... Oh surprise surprise.
You don't need a car! I'm coming to you! You just need to get to the hobbit...unless plans change. Everyone in Brighton who is planning on going to soton to catch up with old friends is being very slack in deciding what they want to do! This makes me very impatient! I also want to move house and buy my plane ticket for christmas holiday but other people are holding me back... this makes me even more impatient. I want to do stuff, When do I want to do it? NOW!
After my boss telling the people I work with that I don't get the praise I deserve I got presented with a bottle of wine infront of everybody and called an unsung hero- it made me feel all warm and squishy.

Well you are quite old...
Don't worry, I'm eons younger than you (I can't help it!)and the only reason I'm not grey at all is that I dye my hair...when it fades, it's not pretty..I have patches of grey...reminds me of a reversed dalmation.I was going more for warm fudge, but what ever floats your boat, (though my version smells better!)

he can work at SL lol he'll be fed and he can come away with £100 and see loads of people as well. if he can e-mail me on my flame fireshows E-mail I can send him application I can probably ensure he gets a spot I know, trust and like him.... well I know him
