So here I am again. It's been a while hasn't it. My alto sax initially got a lot of use. Funny isn't it, how a fulltime job takes away all your spare time. Haven't had any time to poi too, apart from Jugglejam on Mondays and the monthly Moonfests. And even then, it somehow seems I tend to play with the stockwhip instead of poi shrug

Another lens has been added to the stable too. A Canon EF-S 10-22 3.5-4.5.. nice and wiide. But it all boils back down to that time issue. Despite having the new lens, I seem to find I'm out taking less pictures.. the folio hasn't been updated in a while, and I'm starting to get the horrible feeling I'm stagnating. Must. Get out of this rut.

If you're my muse and reading this, inspiration needed now. hug

-Edited 14 Dec 2005-

I liken this to opening the fridge to find that jar of misc what's it, several months expired ubblol. Hey how's it going? wave

So what's new! Well.. poi's getting a bit better for one thing. Nice how after poi-ing for a while, you stop hitting yourself senseless. In fact, one might argue how after a certain point, each hit puts more sense into you.. wink Haven't gone skating or rockclimbing in a bit, but that's ok- life's full of wonderful distractions, and really, you can only do a couple at a time.

University's just wrapped up! Yep. A degree in art & visual culture, television & digital media.. Just waiting for a piece of paper at the moment (yay!). And trying to sort out how Australia will let me live here forever and ever biggrin. Have I mentioned how wonderful it is, you so ought to visit *nudge* wink Also been getting out the with photography and stuff- a couple of projects to follow up on, blue skies and puffy clouds as far as I can see.

Updates updates. [insert geek] I've updated my camera gear too.. my 20D, 17-85 4-5.6 IS and 580EX now have a 70-200 2.8L IS to play with.. soon too, riding on getting a particular gig, either a 350D and a 24-105 f4 IS, or another 20D.. -grin- [/end geek]

[edit 14/12/05: Gig didn't go through, and ended up performing at it instead of shooting it ubblol Life has a funny way of messing you about doesn't it.. so no 2nd body for me just yet, or nice 24-105 f4 IS redface]

Been taking lots of photos lately. I think there's something intrinsically beautiful in capturing moments- you know how you look at a photo and it brings you back to where you were that day, who you were with, how the air smelt even.. Maybe one day I'll get to exhibit ubblove.. but yeah.. lots of work to be done meantime.

Hmmmm.. yes the world's beautiful today. It's good to have new toys, new moves, new direction.. old friends hug.. a best friend hug2, and enough distractions not to get bored for too long.

Btw.. favourite words haven't changed.. ubbrollsmile And mm.. I'm still not too close to balletic, and dulcet..

Hmm.. la la la laaa squawk.. footinmouth

[edit 14/12/05: I now have a beautiful alto saxophone- the best use of which I have thus far found, is to attract ducks and other misc waterfowl]

Yep, how about we say still aspiring. biggrin

Hope all's well with everyone- don't be strangers now! hug biggrin

I've been exploring this site a bit lately, and have decided everyone seems like a nice bunch- thought it's about time I said hello. Ryan, 24, born in Singapore, but Brisbane Australia has been home to me for the past 3 years.

I love photography, playing the guitar (if one took a picture of me with my guitar, it looks like I'm playing it- does that count?), getting from point A to B on my trusty mountain bike, inline skating and hockey, occasionally rockclimbing, and just being in good company. I'd also like to add poiing to the list when I stop hitting myself senseless.

Irrelevantly, my two favourite words (I've got heaps if anyone's interested) are 'balletic' and 'dulcet'. 'Balletic', unfortunately, isn't a word I'd use to describe anything I can do, and 'dulcet' is a word I haven't dreamt of aspiring towards yet.

Enough for now, don't be strangers! biggrin

Hey out of curiosity.. do huge furry hats have a special name instead of 'huge furry hats'?

Hmmmmm.... nope. As far as I know, they're just 'huge furry hats'. biggrin

Maybe they need to have a name though.... umm

Jean: Thanks muchly miss hug hug Guess what.. came into work this morning, checked ebay and eek discovered the auction was ending in 4mins! I scrambled the ebay pixies together to launch a joint strike, but alas.. it went up to 192.50 (from 132.50 at 4 mins).. Goes for 280 in the shops, but costs around 160 excluding postage from international sellers.. guess it's back to the drawing board.. bah!

Mand: They definitely need names. I think I'll call them..hafizes. Just vague enough for people to almost believe it biggrin What do you think?

Havizes is a great name. From now on and evermore , big furry hats of any description shall be known simply as 'havizes' biggrin

How long do you think it'll take the americans to change the 'z' to an 's'? wink

* points to the deer*
quick shoot the evil monster!!!

I just talked to my landlord about putting big spikes on the top of my 7ft fence to keep them out of the veggie garden, cause they broke in while I was gone and ate everything down to the ground.Again. Sigh. The poor plants dont stand a chance.

We were joking about catching them and selling them for venison-- but then, he said no that wont work, no one wants them because they are actually starving, due to the fact that the foliage on the island is not the right kind , not enough protein. So the deer are not good to eat either, the meat is not healthy enough. And due to inbreeding, they are weak immunologically. But we can not cull them legally, and they have no predators here. Since they are on an island, they just keep breeding, and moving into our gardens... Slowly getting sick and starving.

It made me feel sorry for them.I may plant them a protein rich garden of their very own next year. But I still hate them for killing mine! I took a picture of your deer today, unpainted- its raining out- he is cute with little velvety horns. I will post it when I get a chance!
