So here I am again. It's been a while hasn't it. My alto sax initially got a lot of use. Funny isn't it, how a fulltime job takes away all your spare time. Haven't had any time to poi too, apart from Jugglejam on Mondays and the monthly Moonfests. And even then, it somehow seems I tend to play with the stockwhip instead of poi shrug

Another lens has been added to the stable too. A Canon EF-S 10-22 3.5-4.5.. nice and wiide. But it all boils back down to that time issue. Despite having the new lens, I seem to find I'm out taking less pictures.. the folio hasn't been updated in a while, and I'm starting to get the horrible feeling I'm stagnating. Must. Get out of this rut.

If you're my muse and reading this, inspiration needed now. hug

-Edited 14 Dec 2005-

I liken this to opening the fridge to find that jar of misc what's it, several months expired ubblol. Hey how's it going? wave

So what's new! Well.. poi's getting a bit better for one thing. Nice how after poi-ing for a while, you stop hitting yourself senseless. In fact, one might argue how after a certain point, each hit puts more sense into you.. wink Haven't gone skating or rockclimbing in a bit, but that's ok- life's full of wonderful distractions, and really, you can only do a couple at a time.

University's just wrapped up! Yep. A degree in art & visual culture, television & digital media.. Just waiting for a piece of paper at the moment (yay!). And trying to sort out how Australia will let me live here forever and ever biggrin. Have I mentioned how wonderful it is, you so ought to visit *nudge* wink Also been getting out the with photography and stuff- a couple of projects to follow up on, blue skies and puffy clouds as far as I can see.

Updates updates. [insert geek] I've updated my camera gear too.. my 20D, 17-85 4-5.6 IS and 580EX now have a 70-200 2.8L IS to play with.. soon too, riding on getting a particular gig, either a 350D and a 24-105 f4 IS, or another 20D.. -grin- [/end geek]

[edit 14/12/05: Gig didn't go through, and ended up performing at it instead of shooting it ubblol Life has a funny way of messing you about doesn't it.. so no 2nd body for me just yet, or nice 24-105 f4 IS redface]

Been taking lots of photos lately. I think there's something intrinsically beautiful in capturing moments- you know how you look at a photo and it brings you back to where you were that day, who you were with, how the air smelt even.. Maybe one day I'll get to exhibit ubblove.. but yeah.. lots of work to be done meantime.

Hmmmm.. yes the world's beautiful today. It's good to have new toys, new moves, new direction.. old friends hug.. a best friend hug2, and enough distractions not to get bored for too long.

Btw.. favourite words haven't changed.. ubbrollsmile And mm.. I'm still not too close to balletic, and dulcet..

Hmm.. la la la laaa squawk.. footinmouth

[edit 14/12/05: I now have a beautiful alto saxophone- the best use of which I have thus far found, is to attract ducks and other misc waterfowl]

Yep, how about we say still aspiring. biggrin

Hope all's well with everyone- don't be strangers now! hug biggrin

I've been exploring this site a bit lately, and have decided everyone seems like a nice bunch- thought it's about time I said hello. Ryan, 24, born in Singapore, but Brisbane Australia has been home to me for the past 3 years.

I love photography, playing the guitar (if one took a picture of me with my guitar, it looks like I'm playing it- does that count?), getting from point A to B on my trusty mountain bike, inline skating and hockey, occasionally rockclimbing, and just being in good company. I'd also like to add poiing to the list when I stop hitting myself senseless.

Irrelevantly, my two favourite words (I've got heaps if anyone's interested) are 'balletic' and 'dulcet'. 'Balletic', unfortunately, isn't a word I'd use to describe anything I can do, and 'dulcet' is a word I haven't dreamt of aspiring towards yet.

Enough for now, don't be strangers! biggrin

Ry, when I catch up on sleep, I simply must tell you about the new new man in my life.... sigh. Went swimming in the glowing ocean last night, so beautiful!

And yes, there was chocolate, but alas, no whips or corsets. Will skinny dipping in phosphorescence do? It was pretty glittery, I must say.

Is everyone else in the world this confused about relationships, or is it just me? If everyone is wonderful how am I supposed to decide? And, why is it always feast or famine?

Skinny dipping in phosphorescence sounds heaps fun! Was it anything like the Virginie/Leonardo scene it The Beach? ubbangel

Yes. Confused and kerfuffled. I suppose the good thing on your end is that it's actually moving along quite nicely.. The stagnation is almost as close to hell as the hell is.. shrug

Not pathetically sucky at all.. I'll have to address it but tonight I'm dying. Throat's feeling like sandpaper and I'm feeling a bit stuffy with what feels like a headcold. I'm half thinking I may not make it to work tomorrow.

Need to get some sleep.

Thanks so much for sharing miss hug hug hug Catch up tomorrow! smile

Pat: Yeah.. seems that way. I put up the longest fight, but it's a bit hard when everyone around you is sick, dying and coughing when they breathe..

Had a dream last night about being stranded on a jungle island after a plane crash, and being hunted by a deranged murderer who had really good bush skills. Dreams you never get when you're well.. frown!

Lou: A dry sandy throat at the moment, puffy glands, a nose which can't decide if it's blocked or runny, pain between and behind my eyes and this morning had a fever and was going between hot and cold.

Ginger honey lemon would be much appreciated.. maybe I'll make myself a jasmine tea.

Hate being sick. frown

I hate getting the flu. All that putting on, then taking off clothes as your body can't decide if it's feezing or frying. Along with the aching and ouching, it's a bummer. Get better soon hun hug Shall we all mail you random things to entertain you whilst you feel so yucky?

I did catch 5 minutes of it on tv though, a while ago. Some deep discussion on 'where did you go? to take a piss.. you know the rules.. no going anywhere without a buddy..'

It was way deep.. ubblol

Jean: Thanks for the tea.. very much appreciated.. when I finish it I think I'm going to make myself some ginger lemon tea. Throat's feeling worse than this morning.. frown hug

Ry hun, you're not allowed to die. I have to get over my fear of being locked in planes so I can fly over and meet you before you are allowed to die, because you have to teach me how to take as beautiful pictures as you do.

I'm told Claustraphobia is one of the harder phobias to conquer, so it might be a while before I get there.

Just keep your fluid intake up and sleep as much as you can. Rest is the best cure for the flu. hug

Holy F**K. I better go lock myself in the understairs cupboard for a few hours and try and cure myself of this phobia then. How long does it take to get to Oz. I'll probably have to fly tomorrow to make it in time. Can you teach me all you know about photography in one day though? Argh..................!

Yep lemon honey tea is the best thing when you are feeling congested. Perfect combination of sweetness and sharpness, best thing about it is that there is no milk which never seems to do any good when sick

Hope you start feeling better soon smile
