definaltly the egg because chickens are pritty recent given as they were selectively bred by hummans. but reptiles and fish both of which lay eggs have been around for absolutly ages

Things that are already alive don't evolve. The change happens between generations.
So something that was very nearly a chicken laid an egg that hatched into what we know as a chicken. Ergo, the egg came first.

i think the chicken came first from when when everything used to give birth to live young or just sprout one off or something, they wouldnt really be alot like chickens nowadays (its chicken jim but not as we know it) but if we are talking about the tasty tasty food stuff then i guess it all started with a bizzare mutated fowl creature (no pun intended) hatching from an egg
and as for cans an there respective openers the can was invented some 48 (if i remember correctly) years later
