There was a preliminary demo of "the anthem" last night but it really needs the large fire and large group of HoPpers to fully appreciate it! biggrin

Right. Due to crapness of all computers, I haven't been able to update in AGES, so you're gonna have to put up with some recapping.

Thursday 9th Dec

Mojo came down to stay. YAY!

Friday 10th December

Not sure what I did during the day. I have a feeling Mo and I didn't get out of bed til about 5ish, and quickly tidied the house. I ran off into town to buy teabags and to try to sort some green out. I started getting phone calls from HoPpers around 7ish, and wandered to the pub to meet BristolPoi, Skully, NoN and SDRH as they were too lazy to find their way to mine alone. Once back at mine we proceeded to have a few drinks and waited while various Falmouth types came over. Finally dragging ourselves out of the house about half 9, we went into the middle of college to have our first burn of the weekend.

About ten to 11 I (and some others) decided to make a break for the pub, and we half walked, half sprinted to Jakes and got there just as time was being called. I managed to get a pint, as did a couple of others, but I was berated by BristolPoi for not getting enough beers in. I berated her back for not running to the pub quick enough. smile

That done, we wandered (carefully) down the Jacob's Ladder steps to the Moor (the town centre of Falmouth) and had a spin there. I was getting quite aggro due to lack of greenery, and nearly attacked some pissed woman when she asked for a light. We stayed and span there til around midnight, then headed back to my house in a taxi (cos we're really lazy). Watched a bit of COL4 with Bird before he drove home and we went to bed.

Right. That's Friday done. Only another 6 days to go. biggrin More in a bit.

Been watching them both repeatedly, don't you worry. The only thing I've managed to do so far is the behind-the-arse buzzsaw. I'll keep watching and learning though.

Saturday 11th December

Woke up about 12ish to my phone ringing. In quick succession the following people arrived at my house: Stone T, Dan, Oli, Nate, Beth, Bird, Bristolpoi, NoN, SDRH, and Skully. (Did I miss anyone?)

After spinning for a bit in my tragically small garden, we all headed to the local church hall, which we hired for about 5hours. Much spinning ensued, along with much tea drinking. Mojo insisted on buying loads of mince pies, so we ate them too. biggrin

A bunch of Foulmouth folks turned up, including Brad, Dave, Angus, Gerald, Jermaine, Joss and a few others (i'm so crap at remembering things smile) and we finally managed to locate some weed! Yay!

At 8.30pm ish, we headed back to mine and had a few drinks and tried to get organised for the evening. We sent Oli and Brad off on the wood mission, and eventually we relocated to Pendennis Point. Brad and Mojo set up the fire, and we span fire.

The rozzers turned up, true to form, and asked if we knew who's land we were on. I said, "No, do you?" They said, "No". I said, "That's ok then." biggrin They seemed happy that we weren't sacrificing anyone to the dark gods, and so left us alone. Good lads the Foulmouth Roz.

The fire eventually exhausted itself in the small hours, and we made our various ways back into town. Must have gone to bed at some point. It's all a bit of a blur really. biggrin

Valid points all.

Sunday 12th December

Woke up around 2ish. Felt really guilty for having missed people leaving, consoled myself by admiring bottle of port aforementioned people had left and smoking some spliffs. Lay in bed til about 5 watching various circus vids with Oli, Nate and Mojo.

Mo persuaded Oli to give her a lift to Lanson on her way home, and as i had little to do I decided to pack a bag and come with her. She had to work 12 hour days, so I knew I wouldn't see much of her, but soon I won't get to see her at all, so I figure every second counts.

I guess the fact that Mojo's going away for 6 months is starting to hit home. It's like the way I'm going to feel when she goes is all hitting me at once as the realisation sinks in, rather than on a day to day basis as it will be when she actually goes. She seems convinced that we'll be fine, and that she won't so much as look at another guy while she's in India, but i know from experience that things like this often don't end the way we want them to. I hope this time it'll be different.

We got to hers, ate a roast with her mum, Bev and Bev's bf Mike, watched an episode of the West Wing, then Mo went to bed. I stayed up pretty late reading "Demons and Angels" by Dan Brown.

Actually, I didn't. Originally all the posts said SDLW, but then I got confused and changed them all to SDRH. Who is Sarah, and who is Sam?

Monday 13th December - Thursday 16th December

All this week Mojo had to get up at 3.45am to be at work by 5am. The first night I was actually asleep when she woke up. The next night I stayed awake and made her a cup of tea, then slept when she'd gone.

During the days I mainly got stoned and read Luke Rhinehart's "The Dice Man", which was incredibly funny and provoked a lot of thought about why I do the things that I do. And I hung out with Simon and Hannah and twirled my staff about a bit. Did a bit of CJ. Went to the pub. The usual lazy few days.

Thursday lunchtime Mojo and her friend Sarah left for London. They are going to the Indian High Commission to get their visa's, then going to see Muse at Earls Court on Monday. Lucky buggers. I went along and picked Izzy up from school at half 3. Tamsyn got Rhe from nursery, dropped her home with me and then left for the weekend. She'll be back on Sunday, and I have the girls til then.

Once they were fed and asleep, I spent the night playing backgammon and finishing the Dice Man. Rhe wet the bed about half 4, and I didn't really sleep after that.

Friday 17th December

Got up. Made sandwiches for Iz. She got cereal for her and Rhe, and we walked her to school. Last day of term so she got to take a game (buckaroo) and a toy (a kaleidoscope) in with her. Tamsyn has a new Sky box, so Rhe watched a bit of CBeebies, and I watched a bit of BBC Parliament. Gave her some lunch, tidied up a bit and thought about doing some work. Opted for going in town instead and failing to buy chocolate Nesquik. Had to get Crusha instead, which is anything but an adequate substitution.

Got Izzy and several sackfuls of stuff from the school (she got sent home with every bit of work she's done, it seemed, but not her school book bag - how bizarre) and went home for chocolate milk. Iz was really tired from waking up in the night (when Rhe woke up the house) and she kept bursting into tears over things like the fact that there was no chocolate in the house. smile Bless. Fed them, got them into bed as soon as. Both out like lights.

I've spent this evening yet again playing backgammon, trying to learn how to play GO, and researching my piece on Burma. Scary stuff indeed. I think I'm gonna toddle off in the other room, watch the headlines, have a browse of the Parliament channel, have a spliff and go to bed. I may even eat something. I have a hankering for a poached egg on an english muffin.

Today was my dads 72nd birthday. Tried ringing him, house and mobile, but there was no reply. I'll try again tomorrow.

Night poips.

I don't blame Iz. I would burst into tears if there was NO chocolate in the house. Don't houses fall down around your ears if for longer than about 2 hours there is no chocolate in them. The mere thought of a chocolate free house makes me shudder!

Does that include houses that contain chocolate milk, jaffa cakes, chocolate advent calendars and enough cakes to sink a small battleship?

Saturday 18th December

Woke up to my mum yelling at me on the phone. Mumbled and went downstairs. Fed kids and lay around with them for most of the day. Around mid afternoon Izzy started feeling ill, and was running quite a high temperature. (I guaged this by using the inbuilt thermometer that was implanted at the hospital the day she was born. All parents have them.)

She pretty much lay on the sofa all afternoon, and was quite polite (a sure sign of illness) while Rhe ran around like a loony and jumped on her a lot. Sisters are so nasty to each other. smile

They went to bed about 7 and I spoke to Mojo briefly. Then sat and played backgammon again. I really am incredibly dull, but I can't exactly go out and leave the kids, and I hate tv, so this is pretty much all there is to do.

Taz said he'd be over later, so that'll be a laff. We will no doubt drink beer and watch BBC parliament (cos we're slacker interr-leck-t'you-awls wink) and laugh at the foolish politicians.

Damn I'm bored. biggrin
