not poi but yo-yo's.
and not on this site but a message posted on the juggling newsgroup:

read this.

then download the four versions and see what you think smile

speaking of which, another community that is doing well with video right now is the fast growing uk le parkour scene.
if you're interested, a guy called ben millner directs and edits (as well as starring in) some wicked stuff on www.urbanfreeflow.com.

PK4LIFE!

Parkour rocks man!

It's pretty hard to do with a stix though...

Bam does some good stuff on UF, but for sheer power look at ww.le-parkour.com and david belle's vids. (he's the guy that did the rushhour ad for the BBC. The one with a guy running over rooftops to get back in time for his favourite tv program)

Shame it's such hard work. I don't like to jump off anything higher than my head... I've gottta learn to roll... ubbrollsmile

everybody, yeah! we love it! biggrin

david belle truly is the man cool
my favourite vid from his site is the one from that french tfi channel.
its about 6 minutes long and he does a bunch of little runs around his local area with the cameraman just wandering round after him while he describes how he looks for good lines and interesting obstacles.

on that same video there's an *amazing* clip of him training back out in the woods where he originally developed his skills - he's sprinting along towards a fallen tree laying across his path at about hip height which he cooly front somersaults over and lands again running at full pace eek

the headcam shots from his run up that big concrete thing scare the hell out of me though!

Yeah, la Dame as it's called. One of the UF guys went to France to train with Seb, and when he saw that thing in real life, he was like 'No Way!' It's apparently, really really big, and very very steep, and david belle just runs up it. He just does back flips off the tops of buildings and walks on like it was nothing... He's amazing... And the one 'traceur.avi' he does a massive drop, and his legs act just like springs, he pops back up and just walks off... Thighs of DOOOOOM!

everyone loves le parkour, even if it does sound like a french chauffeur, or a coat.

360 wall hops are harder than they look frown

and office parkour is where it's at biggrin

the best part is waiting for that one last person to leave the room ubblol

Do not jump on hole punchs. It hurts your foot even if you are wearing hard soled work shoes, and may induce sudden vertigo eek

only been spotted once so far... ubbangel

Yeah 360 wall hops are a b*tch... I think it helps to push up obviously, and away from the wall slightly, so you lose all forward momentum. Adn try them on rails, they're mean on your hands on brick.

Tables rock! They're low, but you have to get good distance...

I love the 'I'm going to change into my secret superhero costume' feeling you get waiting for people to leave the room. (Some people call it anticipation) cool

Yay! Another convert to PK! ROCK! beerchug beerchug biggrin biggrin

Erm, i'd describe it as...

creative and aesthetically pleasing ways of travelling through urban environments, using the body.

It's kinda spectacularly pointless, like most cool stuff ubbangel
