Bek, how does left-overs keep moms from killing kids? They still look into a full fridge and yell "Mom! Is there anything to eat?" wink

Very true...but it also means that I have something quick and nourishing for myself so that when they ask if there is anything to eat, I have plenty of energy to chase them out of my kitchen with the broom!

Sometimes having someone around to help eat left overs is good. I had to toss some out over the weekend because I didn't have enough time to eat all the left overs. biggrin

My son is at this very moment polishing off the leftovers from last night. And adding enough pepper to it to cross his eyes permanently!

I need sun. The rainy season has started big time now, we should have rain every day through March ... or at least it will seem like it.

I've got a feeling that this is going to be a very LONG winter.

eek Water restrictions? I don't think that I could get use to that, but then around here we've never have a problem with the availability of water.

The one good thing about all the rain is that once it get's to the mountain it is snow. If it keeps going like it is, ski season should open by Thanksgiving (end of the month).

I'm lucky that I have my own well....250 ft in the ground and hit water at only 11, so should have enough to last for quite some time. Raleigh and surrounding areas generally end up with restrictions every summer. We've had really dry ones for about the past 5 years.

We're having our first hard freeze tonight....all the flowers in my yard that should not have been blooming at this time of year anyhow will get zapped for sure!!!
