I'm glad you liked them Gidg. I did warn you they get eaten fast!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I go in the tech bit only to scare myself. It usually makes no sense what so ever to me. It makes me practice more though, in the hope that one day it will dawn on me what ever it is they are trying to teach me!

ubblol Wild Child you are so very right! I think it is a boy thing. wink and give the truffles a test run first. I put a little too much orange flavoring in one batch and it was a little bitter, less is more when it comes to orange. But the others turned out just fine.

Finally!!! Some folks that understand what I go through when I try to read the technical stuff. I realize now that I'm not alone. hug hug

'fraid i didn't this time frown - but it was my first meet and the first time most of them/us had met so the dynamics were a bit odd.

Def want to do it before Christmas tho - need to practice a whole lot more first to get the most out of it. It's this damn weak right wrist that lets me down mad2

Can you use some sort of wrap to help stabilize the wrist? I was going to do some spinning yesterday but when I saw the temperature was at freezing I decided against it. I really need to find a place to spin indoors.

It doesn't need stabilising, it needs more movement in it! Practice practice practice is what's required

I have the same trouble in winter - nowhere at home is quite high enough or free enough of lights an stuff to knock off/over!
That was good thing about Manchester, it's under railway arches so at least you can shelter a bit when you're not spinning

If I did it in the house it would be guaranteed that things would get broken. Now there are covered areas at two of the grade schools close to the house, but I think I'm going to go check out the community center and see what I might be able to arrange. I would be open to give basic lessons to find free space indoors.

Going back to the problem of practising indoors, I have low ceilings and often hit them. But since I've been spinning, my dogs take one look at the poi coming out of their bag, and take off for another room!

Thanks guys. I wish that the clutch would have lasted until after I got back from Australia, it would have made things a lot easier.

Rosiemarie - I only have one place that has enough room to be able to do some stationary spinning. The only problem is that it's right under the ceiling fan. I tried it once and broke the globe. Don't do that any more.
