Tar and feather?
Not sure I would want that type of mess in here. There feathers would be OK but the tar would be way to yuckie. What can we use besides tar? Growing old is mandatory; growing up is NOT.

Sadly UCoF didn't know about the gerbil thing (sometimes the males of the species really let you down!)
OK I finally found the old sketch book with the truffles recipe in it.
. Chocolate Truffles
1 lb (450g) Good dark chocolate.
6 fl oz (175ml) Double cream.
1 oz (28.35g) Ground almonds.
1 oz (28.35g) Cocoa powder.
Small amount of your choices of flavourings. eg 2 tablespoons of rum/brandy or 3-4 drops of vanilla /lemon/orange flavouring.
1. Break chocolate into small pieces.
2. Gently heat Dbl Cream in a sausepan until it begins to come to the boil. (DO NOT BOIL)
3. Remove pan from the heat and stir in chocolate pieces until melted and smooth.
4. Now its time to flavour the mix. Split the mix into smaller amounts and flavour. Examples of flavourings, vanilla, rum, brandy, lemon, orange, mint, chopped nuts. Don't over do it when you add the flavour especially with the cirtus as they can cause the mix to curdle.
5. Add the ground almonds and stir in.
6. chill in the refrigerator for 3 hours.
7. remove from the fridge and using a teaspoon scoop out a small amount of the mix. Dust your palms with the cocoa powder and roll the truffle into a ball. place in a paper truffle case or onto a tray.
8. Decorate the tops of the truffles with curls of chocolate , chopped nuts or citrus zest.
9. Store the truffles in the refrigerator and eat within 7 days.
trust me they won't last 7 days

Yeah I get around but things have been a little off just lately and I've not been able to get to the other categories like I've done in the past. I go and read them but I haven't been posting. And you'll hardly every find me over in the technical part of HoP because the description of the moves confuse me. I'm much more of a visual person when it comes to that.
Though I did go and post in something other than an intro the other day.

That sounds like me too. Though I do try and look at the technical stuff every once in a while. I'm hoping that one day the words will make sense but I haven't had much luck so far.

Yeah that's what I thought but I was part of the cooking crew this year and things started early. The nice thing about being on the cooking crew is that we don't have to do the dishes. It was great sitting down after dinner and watching everyone else taking care of the dinner dishes.

You should ask if you can join the cooking crew one time. If they say yes ask if that means that you don't have to be on the cleanup crew. You wouldn't want to have to do both.

Christmas is the biggie for me - my neices are insisting on coming to mine this yr (and who am I to argue!) but we got that 1 sussed - I cook, they wash up!
be able to reward them with some Choccie Truffles this time tho - might have to give 'em a road test before then tho......
