Good way to save $
"I got the DIY fire fans. They are strong and sturdy but it is difficult to sew them. The video makes it look so easy but unless you sew a lot or are familiar with curved needles it really is a pain in the butt. I am still working on them weeks later. I think spending the extra $30ish dollars may have been worth it in my opinion."

Make em Russians
"These have a great quality to them that can be felt in hand. The seam is minimal, shine is nice, grip is good. They are rather floaty to use for technical juggling, and gah forbid if they hit in mid air they re flying/rolling 50 feet. Made the decision to convert them to Russians for this reason!"

"Far better than the normal handles as these were starting to hurt my wrists. These are good, I do find they slip around in my hand a bit but I am still getting used to them. Far better with the extension and double pivot as to not pinch your hand. Affordable. Overall good. :)"

Thick rope
"I like it but I have been told the rope is way to thick on my rope dart by alot of people. So if you get this rope dart and go to festivals don't be surprised if every one is surprised on how thick this rope is. So ill use this rope to burn with and a smaller slicker rope to practice with."

"These poi are an all around great practice poi for any skill level. The only con would be that they are fairly light compared to most wicks so you might have to adjust when you are throwing fire. Other than that I recommend their durability."

These are the best knobs
"I bought a green pair a year ago and they are supreme. The swivels are silky smooth and make no noise and never hitch. I would rate 5 stars but I recently bought an orange pair and these have terrible swivels that grind and hitch like any old swivel. Not sure if I got a shoddy one or quality was downgraded but even so are still the best knobs around."

Fun LED juggling balls!
"I bought these multi-function led juggling balls in March and they have worked well since. About 2/3 of the ones I've bought have worked so be prepared to order extra ones as replacements (have bought 10, have 6 working ones). Sometimes the cap can get loose and the batteries fall out, but for the price they are good. In the future I'd like ones that have a softer shell though as the hard shell is a bit slippery. Either way, they are a good deal as there are also expensive, reliable balls on the market that cost 50$ each... but these are only 10$ so a few breaking is fine with me."

Great for beginners
"To be honest, I expected beginner pois to be a bit softer and not as hard as stones, but in the end it's actually easier to train with them then with lighter pois. The occasional head ache can be managed ;)"

Ultraknobs are fun
"Comfy, look cool, nice weight, easy to use.. Ultraknobs are fun but not so reliable as they would often stop working or change colours for no reason. Have no fear though for If this happens to yours, change out the battery for a new one and it fixes the problem almost every time! A butterknife does the job pretty well."

"I want to say that I went into my purchase knowing full well the difference(s) between these and the other top-selling LED POI on this site, PodPoi. In terms of style of the case, weight for spinning, and mode range+color+brightness, I definitely prefer my Ninjas! However, the build quality is what you expect from Ninjas as well; while the cord attachment on the case is fixed (V4s), the circuit board is very fragile. Maybe some rubber or foam around the edge of the board where it might hit the case is in order for V5 or a redesigned chipset for the cases they are producing now? HOP has great customer service though, and the warranty is a nice 12 months!"

"I was super grateful for this DIY kit because it was much more cost effective. A labor of love though! Sewing the wicks on isn't as easy as they make it look if it's your first time, but by the third wick I had it down! Highly recommend using a thimble because your thumb will go raw trying to push the needle through the kevlar so many times. The fans themselves are heavy and take some getting used to, but they're super beautiful and I love them! Sewed my own covers for them too!"

Great, but could very easily be better
"The quality of the balls is awesome. Bright light, great selection of light modes and easy to switch between them by quickly turning them off and on again by switching the cap which holds the batteries inside. The only thing I didn't like: the handle on the cap protrudes quite a bit from the surface of the ball and are made of solid plastic. Using this handle you can twist the cap to turn on / off the balls and change colors. It may hurt your hands when catching wrong and it may damage when falling on the ground on this handle. To fix this: I took a vile and shaved off 2mm which made them not protruding anymore. And still it's easy for me to turn on / off the balls. Maybe if you have really big fingers, it would be more difficult. So it's an easy fix, but it would have been great is this was done by design. But very happy overall!"

Great beater whip
"These are fantastic whips with about a minutes worth of burn time with white gas, while not being as easy to wield as a braided whip. The only BIG draw back is they will fall apart in about a year with regular use. The design flaw I see is how the thong connects to the fall. It s not really a fixable design flaw given these aren t traditionally designed and braided whips so energy doesn t move through the whip as elegantly as say a braided Kevlar whip would (braided will have a MUCH less intense burn and burn time). Given that, it puts more stress than it should into that key point. For the price however? I m happy to replace the thong once a year. Will likely just make my next thong based off these given the Karaka design is far simpler than a braided whip. Fire whips are NOT a cheap fire toy no matter what you try to do. From the fuel, storage, to keeping your equipment in good repair. Still, I wouldn t have it any other way."
