Posted: We would like to invite you to join us for our annual 3-day outdoor festival August 14,15, and 16, 2003 in Western Colorado ( www.dreamthefuture.org ). The Dreamtime Festival aims to inspire, educate, connect and empower people to create positive change in the world through a dynamic blend of arts, education, and entertainment. Dreamtime encourages people to envision new possibilities and act on them, to participate rather than observe, and to move toward ecologically balanced living. Events at the festival include live music, dancing, learning, creative expression, fire performances, theatre, multimedia, fashion shows, DJ's, movement classes, art installations, educational workshops, and more. Dreamtime offers opportunities for participants to learn about transforming themselves and the world around them, to network with others, and carry this learning back into their lives.
We are currently seeking theme camps, musicians, artists, dancers, performers, workshop leaders and others to participate.
The Festival is held in a beautiful mountain valley nestled in the Rocky Mountains. Participants spend the weekend camping at the site, which includes wonderful mountain views, mild nighttime temperatures, starry skies and sunny days. The North Fork Valley is a well-kept secret, a mountain paradise with a thriving community. August brings an abundant harvest of fresh fruit and vegetables from the many local organic farms and orchards. There is easy access to some of the most extensive national forests and wilderness areas in the country. It is a great place to visit.
A large caravan is planned to travel from the Dreamtime Festival to Burningman, including many of the performers, staff and guest artists. If you are planning to attend Burningman, it would be fun to travel together into the desert. It is likely that there will be space and opportunities for carpooling. We recommend you post on the Dreamtime Community Bulletin Board, or on the Burningman site. Camping will continue to be available for performing artists during the week between Dreamtime and Burningman, and you may want to join us for a soak in amazing local hot springs, or take advantage of some mountain solitude prior to the festivities at Black Rock City.
