hi guys.. i was just wondering if someone there could help me a little on tips for doing the one handed butterfly on split time..
i have never saw it so i just dont have the idea on how to start. thank you!!!

if you start doing ordinary one-handed butterfly, the movement of your hand is up and down, yeah?
If you start doing it a bit more diagonal, the points at which the poi are crossing should start moving round.
Keep going until eventually you're just moving your hand from side to side, and the poi are crossing at the sides. voila! one handed split-time butterfly.
Just don't tell jez i'm telling people how to do his moves

You can just do a split time butterfly with two hands and then pass one poi to the other hand like you would with a regular one handed butterfly and voila your doing a split time one handed.

I've been trying it that way, trouble is, due to hand positions, after 4/5 beats they end up coliding. I've tried speeding up one of the poi by doing a kind of circular movement with the poi that's between the thumb and index finger. AArgh, that makes no sense. Someone, video, now!

You'll have to sit thru lots of people playing with sticks to get to it, but theres lots of one-handed poi business near the end. I'm 97% sure theres some one-handed split-time butterfly turns in there.
Not sure its working right now though, i think the rather spiffy new te-pooka vid might have massacred the bandwidth allowance
EDIT: Ignore that, i was talking out my arse. Bandwidth still healthy and vid downloadable.

hey thanks everyone for all comments and suggestions. i was trying 7it a while ago, and when i start "diagonaloizing" the movement, the point where the 2 pois crosses (up/down)starts moving, but it never reaches the left/right side. just near from it.any advice??

vid looks good. I like some of that double stuff. Only critisiscm (speling is terible i no). Isn't that kind of a semi split time, going diagonal? Full split time would look like taking the butterfly and turning it sideways no?
