Hi all... I am a complete newbie to poi, fire twirling and anything/everything related. In fact, I'll only even see it in real life for the 1st time next Friday (making it down to the Moon Fest on north side of Brissie).

Anyway, this is me...

Name: Pat... but Pogo to those that know me well.

Location: Logan City, south of Brisbane, QLD, Oz.

Hometown: As above.

DOB: 17/09/1969

Age: 36 and counting...

Sex: Wouldn't that be nice?

Occupation(s): Computer Programmer. Worked for myself from home for 2 1/2 years, but have recently had to get a "real" job.

Favorite Food(s): Hmmm... pretty much anything, really.

Favorite Color(s): Green

Toys: Acoustic guitar, Classical guitar, 3 electric guitars, 2 djembes.

Hobbies other than the obvious: Music, Reading, Keeping fit (hmmm, not so much of the keeping fit, actually)

Education: Did Bachelor of Science majoring in Computer Science and Pure Maths. Then Grad Dip Appl Computing... then started a research masters, but gave it away when life got in the way.

Favorite Book(s): Have to get back to you on that one... The Anarchist was the last book I read, quite liked it.

Favorite Movie(s): Lots... Fight Club, Snatch, Lock Stock..., Finding Nemo, Pulp Fiction, Pay It Forward...

Favorite TV show(s): Don't watch tv.

Plans for life in general: (i.e. what you want to do when you grow up) I really... wish... I knew.

Favorite Music Artists/Composers: Lately... Xavier Rudd, Jack Johnson, JBT, Blue King Brown, Donavon Frankeneiter, Rob Sawyer, The Waifs... blues/roots stuff.

Favorie ice cream flavor(s): Vanilla.

Marmite, Vegemite, or Nutella? (please choose one...this is important as it is essentially this site's equivalent of stating your religion...we have religious wars, crusades, cathedrals to Nutella, all that.)

Definitely... vegemite.

Ye, mine is so tiny it barely makes a hip bath...but the one he has, you can actually sink down into and enjoy...and it fits 2...especially since we're both a bit on the smallish side... biggrin

So, do you have to duck down to wash your hair...? Showers weren't exactly built for those over 6 feet tall...I, on the other hand have been accused of having to jump around in the shower to get wet...whatever that means...

I don't think I've ever been in a shower I haven't had to duck in being 6'5" and all tongue
My shower is especially bad though, I've never seen one so small....writing this made me curious so I just went and measured it and its exactly 2 and 1/2 feet by 2 and 1/2 feet just enough room to turn around in place.....oh and the water hits me in the middle of my chest so its quite difficult.

Y'know, you might try changing the shower head...get one with an extendable arm to it...mine can be tilted up and raised by about a foot...got it from WalMart a few years ago...was only $20...and it's got a rainshower head on it...you might actually be able to shower without ducking...of course, I don't tilt mine up...kind of needs to go the other way...*giggle*

ha ha, Funny guys of course I have a shower. Loki, what I meant, and you know it, is that only shower is better than nothing at all.

Are you talking about a rain shower or a waterfall shower. The rain shower things is sooo cool but I saw this house that had a bathroom that reminded you of a groto. It was like a split level bathroom. All the wall, except one, was covered in stone and to get to the shower you walked down three feet of stairs. The last wall was floor to ceiling glass and looked out to this jungle of a garden. It was a very little area, maybe three by three feet but the way they had the plants was fantastic. You couldn't see any of the walls, completely covered with vines.

I don't remember much about the rest of the house, but I'll always remember that bathroom.

A rainshower head...just wider and has a more even flow, rather than one that comes out and spreads, like a cone...I just wish I had better water pressure...it would be much nicer...

mmm...I love the sound of that bathroom...I'd spend half my time in there...always wanted a tub or shower that looked out on a lush garden...I've also always wanted an outside shower...latticed and surrounded by the same...just something about that appeals to me...altho, if you go to Oz, their downpours will give you just as good of a shower....had one day that it rained so hard, so fast, that the water was within inches of coming thru the back door...Pat was at work and I was getting a bit nervous that the house was gonna flood...just thank goodness it finally stopped before that happened!!!
