We are starting a Poi movement in Norwich! Myself and Theo AKA 'dirty hippy' will be at the Castle Gardens @1pm saturday March 31st; spinning and offering some friendly advice to spinners of all levels. Don't worry if you are a total beginner, you are most welcome to come, either to watch, ask questions or to learn some basic moves. I have several spare sets of pratise Poi, so let me know if you will need to borrow some and I will make sure I bring them along.
In the meantime, if you have any questions, please message me. I am always happy to help. Otherwise We hope to see you all on Saturday.x

Hi there, welcome to HOP;) But where are all the other Poi DSIers!! HOP is the best site for fire arts; but yet there are more fire spinners on DSI ??!! Anyway thanks for the invite I will come along to say hi and have a burn with you tomorrow. But I won't be teaching with fire Poi, as its not really a bright idea! Also, (if u or anyone else is interested?) our practice and learning workshops are continuing @ The Castle Gardens. We could do with staff teacher- and as always, the more the merrier. You can find us Saturdays, 1pm.x

ill hit dsi with a link to here, to increase the HOP clan
we'll be down chapelfields from 830 onwards 2nite,
theo if u could bring ur cages that would be well sweet, any1 who comes if you have camera, be sure to bring as there pic's ull get will be outstanding

*bump* hey guys caroline's started doing workshops in st giles church on saturdays from 1-2 it's pretty good in there cos it's under cover and only need a small donation to cover using the space.

i've only just-just-just started learning poi. i'd really like to go to some of the meeting up things in norwich =]
im just worried because i dont know anyone else who's interested in it, so i will have to go alone and not know anyone =/ im such a wimp.
plus im a tad rubbish at the moment and dont want to look like a complete loser =]

Don't be scared, be happy our community is growing, and little seedlings are florishing into beautiful flowers! I didn't know any Poi people for my 1st year of spinning and now i am happy to know other spinners in this area- thanks to Hop
. Poi take's a bit of time to master but all spinners remember how it feels to be a novice, and so are usually really helpful and encouraging to complete beginners who want to learn. So come and join us at St Gregory's- we promise not to bite!!

it's only my second week and so far it's okay to get to st gregory's go down the alley next to metro tesco (the one black lace is on) then turn right and st gregory's will be on your right even I managed to find it and I get hopelessly lost most of the time

I'm not quite that bad but sometimes I go really blank and just stand there looking at my hands it's like all direction recognition goes out the window and for a little ride around the countryside

Poi meets wouldn't be the same without our Theo- He's a valued member of the group. So we've decided to move the workshop to wednesdays, 6pm @St Gregory's Church, Norwich.

We've moved the weds fire nights 2 the secret Gardens. With more darkness and less artificial lighting its a better setting for the meets. Also it stops drunken tramps interupting our practice, asking for money, fags etc.xxx

Hi, I met someone outside of the castle spinning some sock poi (a guy called terry, I believe) who said that there was some fire spinning going on. I cant remember where he said. So is he part of your group cos i know there are a few groups in norwich but its hard for me to meet up at night, cos I cant get home nor have a bed in norwich... (well nor anymore)..

They are a bunch of wreakless idiots who hang around with a guy half of Nch wants to kill for some 'strange incidents' he's had with children. I used to teach them, but of course they know the lot now. The original crew are now at the secret Gardens cos we won't let them ruin things for us. We run a workshop where the safety of children comes 1st.
There is also the UEA sunday club, but that doesn't include much Poi.
