Ok this is an official update of my mouldy old intro. every time that i accidentally bring up the first page of this instead of the recent one, i get a case of "geez i'm a tool writing such a dodgy intro". so i thought i'd put a fresh intro up for me to feel embarrased about biggrin

Here's some information about me...

i live in melbourne, where things are often rainy. raininess makes me sad.

i go to the ever wonderful melbourne sunday spinning, where all the lovely melbourne kids go. If you live anywhere near melbourne and you're checking out this intro to suss out what type of people go on sundays, i highly recommend you come along.

i'm a student nurse, so i get terribly excited about health. it also means that i will intermittently whinge about going on clinicals. i secretly love being on clinicals though.

i'm also a disability support worker, which i've done for ages. i love it heaps, but like any job, it has it's moments.

i live with my boyfriend, who i tend to complain about a lot also, but i love him to bits, even when he gives me the sh!ts.

someone once asked me to sum myself up in 5 words, and i came up with independent, caring, firey, needy and...oh bugger i can't remember the last. i'm sure it was good though biggrin

well, i can't think of anything else to put there, so i'll leave it till i start cringing whenever i see this intro tongue

and just so that the initial comments here are in context, here's what my intro originaly said....

"hey, I registered with HoP a few days ago in a procrastination attempt (1exam to go), and this whole talking-to-people-on-the-other-side-of-the-world thing kinda freaks me out. Anyway, I been reading peoples messages, which seems a bit voyueristic, since I haven't really introduced myself. I live in victoria, and I'm studying nursing, play with poi, but haven't 4 ages. please reply with something encouraging, otherwise I'll get scared and feel unwelcome. frownThen I'll be stuck with playing solitaire."

ta. i just worked out how to change my avatar what do you all think? i tried the stick to coffe and alcohol one, but it was hard to read, especially on my silly screen, so i found a new one, which i'm most impressed with.

much better hav

anyone wanna give cuddles? i'm in great need, i've had a shocking day. we've got a new client who self abuses, and i haven't worked with him much, but i had to do 1:1 work with him today. we went swimming, and afterwards i was getting him changed and he started thrashing around and hit his head really hard on this metal bar. he got a gash on the back of his head and was bleeding like crazy, and i was on my own with him. there were other staff nearby that i called, but i was a mess, emotionally. i know that it happens a lot, but i felt like it was my fault. he's been to hospital and gotten stitches, and everything should be fine, but i just feel so drained. i've worked with lots of other people with self abusive behaviours, and never been overly affected by it. cuddles? anyone?

i think it would go better: mycology is better than urology. i would say yourology, because that would sound like better grammer (i don't know what i'm talking about either), but urology is real, so yeah. it's not hard to be better than urology

mycology and urology shouldn't really go together, ew. eek

thanks hav, the logical part of me knows it wasn't my fault, but the illogical emotional part keeps beating me up about it, i'm dealing with it though.

looking forward to having a burn tonight, flame!

what have i got against the green guy? well, yellows a far more sunny colour that green, and the green guy has a shadow on his body, which looks a bit like a beard, and i don't quite know how i feel about that. not that i'm beard prejudice, mind you.

i'm getting a cold, and i start clinical tomorrow...in a hospital...with sick people who's immune systems are dodgy...and i've got a runny nose!

does anyone have any ideas for getting rid of a cold quick smart? old wives tales are most welcome, i've already been snorting salt water and chowing down on garlic. i've had lots of water, and will be going to bed for a bit soon. i need to get rid of it before it really takes hold. and before tomorrow morning.
