This is the needle we include in our DIY kits. Strong stainless steel needle with a smooth eye to prevent thread damage.
How do you use a curved needle?
Unlike a straight needle it is important to note that when pushing the curved needle through many layers of Kevlar® that you push in the direction of the curve entering the fabric. Failing to do so can bend the needle too much and cause it to break prematurely.
How can i get a better grip on a curved needle?
Thimbles are small rubber socks that fit over the end of your finger. They are available in many sizes from book stores and craft shops. Using one on the finger pushing the needle can help a lot. They are also used by people counting money, turning pages in books and flicking through paper records. Great for those that get dry finger tips and loose their grip.

8th July, 2020 Single Curved Sewing Needle The only needle needed for sewing my fan heads together. "The strength, shape and durability of this needle is just what one needs to easily and properly sew kevlar thread, specifically for my fan wicks. I usually wear tight fitting gloves( like baseball gloves) and a thimble since pulling the thread through hurtd my bare hands, and pushing the needle through the tough kevlar material can become painful( esp with my soft massage therapist hands lol) with out the thimble. This is my 4th needle Ive purchased (since I keep losing them and pretty cheap). I havent found a product that compares to effectiveness and dexterity of this needle. qill buy again for sure!"
