4mm keys are almost exactly the same size as 5/32" which makes them the preferred size for products requiring self-assembly.

So no matter which one you have it will still do it's job perfectly.

This is the needle we include in our DIY kits. Strong stainless steel needle with a smooth eye to prevent thread damage.

Unlike a straight needle it is important to note that when pushing the curved needle through many layers of Kevlar® that you push in the direction of the curve entering the fabric. Failing to do so can bend the needle too much and cause it to break prematurely.

Thimbles are small rubber socks that fit over the end of your finger. They are available in many sizes from book stores and craft shops. Using one on the finger pushing the needle can help a lot. They are also used by people counting money, turning pages in books and flicking through paper records. Great for those that get dry finger tips and loose their grip.
