Lightweight sneakers (trainers) are great since you can walk around in them and spin whenever the mood may strike. For dedicated "shoes for spinning" I like martial arts shoes...

Have you checked if the CSU juggling club is still active? May not be spinners there, but at least some like-minded individuals.

Decent beginner meteor, good look, a little light
"Very nice look, rotors, poi, and butterfly moves feel pretty good. The heads seem a little light for one handed weaves, though, I can't get the same kind of momentum as my home made meteor, but this is still a good prop. The rope is a little slick in the beginning, but I expect that to change as I break it in."

Great beginner dart
"My first real experience with rope dart, this is a fun prop to play with. The rope is good and the ball is much safer than a metal dart. The price is excellent for anyone just trying to figure out if rope dart is for them."

"First impressions: Very heavy very slick. The weight is a good thing and the slickness wears off after a few runs. Sometimes the switch to turn on the light sticks out a small fraction and will jab you while juggling but this happens rarely. Colors are extremely bright and the fade effect is less distracting to me than the faster strobe."
