I'm from Hicksville myself, but I'm friends with spinners all over Long Island.

If you're on FB you should check out the "Long Island Spin Jam" and "Long Island Fire Dancers" groups. ^_^

Well, I get upstate sometimes. My brother lives in Suffern - I know that's not QUITE upstate, but I also go to a yoga Ashram a half hour north by Harriman.

I live way upstate, Plattsburgh. about 30 miles from montreal and right across the lake from VT. If you every think you might come up this way I would love to get together. I know of a group based in Oneonta but that is a little far for me. I had a chance to meet them this past weekend but I chickend out. Kick self.

DO you have more information on that festival? I found some. do a lot of spinners go? from what I have seen it looks to be mostly jugglers.

Well, it is predominantly jugglers, but there are hoopers, devil stickers, diaboloists, poi spinners, etc...

I'm a little bit of everything myself, but juggler and spinner are at the top.

There is also a fest in early spring called the RIT Juggle In at the Rochest Institute of Technology. Closer and cheaper to get to probably. Same stats on attendees I just gave you.

There are indeed many spinners in NYC! I believe there is still a weekly spinjam going on in Central Park on Sunday afternoons. I think they move it indoors when it gets cold out, but I'm not sure.

Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?
