Gnor, the house I just found you'd have to commit too!

omg, anyone would be a nutcase to not commit to my current love - the house I inspected this afternoon ubblove

4 bedrooms + study, massive old house with a sunroom and backyard. Unfortunately it's only a guaranteed 6 months cos they're knocking it down! omg! the thought makes me want to cry because it's one of the most beautiful houses i've ever seen!!! and all for only $400/week (that's cheeeeaaaap for the areas I'm looking in)

i would have changed ***** to phallus, and claire to petey Petey

But Rouge if you get the house you have to move in six months, then you will have to look for another place to live. But you are under a tight schedule.

Yes George, you have standards but I know that I already meet them. biggrin

Gnor it doesn't matter, his sons aren't old enough.

i wouldnt need to move in 6 months for certain...it's just that they can only guarantee 6 months. and the house is awesome enough that i'm willing to take the risk!!

You know the cost for housing down there just blows my mind. I think I need to check to see how much the equivalent would go for in my area.

On second thought that IS a good price. I didn't realize how expensive large homes are.

Melbourne's prices are pretty high - it's incredibly depressing!

this house will work out cheaper per person than most flats!eek

I would imagine that after 6 months, they'd probably give you an option to purchase...and if the rent is as high as you say, then you'd be looking at quite a pricey option...but if you can enjoy it, in the meantime, then I say the heck with the one that won't commit...I'm sure you can find someone else that would be willing to fill the spot...

The problem with the one who wont commit is that I need someone's signature on the applications cos I can't apply alone (ie; hold rent alone for the whole house until I find someone)...and i need to apply soon for a bargain like that!!!

My mum is rather old fashioned...has no clue of how the world works, nowadays...and she actually did come out with that lil pearl when I was younger and planning on taking a trip to the beach by myself...her exact words were...

"You'll get down there and some crazy person will rape you and murder you and bury you up under a pier somewhere...and then what will you do with Joe?" (my son, btw)

Ummm, well...if I'm murdered and buried up under a pier, then I don't think I'd have been doing anything with him, now would I?

Of course, I didn't say that to her...or she would have really thrown a conniption!!!
