Posted: oh don't be hurt, we can be bad/lazy about it you have nice control and an obvious affinity for isolations perhaps for a bit more variety add corkscrews or more wraps it also appeared that you do releases more with one hand, maybe get more comfortable with the other still a very cool video, good job

I can't offer much in the way of constructive criticism, except to say that your spinning is as good an anyone, but I sure was curious as to what was going on just off the top of the frame in the first video, at the end. A couple of horizontal spiral wraps maybe.
I really liked the overall green cast to the video, with the green wall and signs, and maybe I'm on drugs, or maybe its my monitor, but I'm noticing a green tinge to both your poi and pants too. Overall I liked the effect regardless whether it was intended or not
Aside: I've noticed quite a few tv commercials filmed in this way lately.

Posted: Nice new videos there llanowar, I found the Birmingham one to be a little on the dark side though, but the spinning looks great.
I really like the wet pavement and the effect it gives in your fire video...looking good.
Is it just me, or is that Daily Motion video hosting way superior to You Tube ? I have no problems watching your videos on full screen.

Posted: i think that dailymotion could be better for hosting video than youtube 'cause its a new service... maybe the speed or the quality are better because of that's reason...
and thanks for all your comments

Yea,,,dust in video threads is a recurring problem, I know.
Dailymotion was being a little slow downloading so I watched both your videos at the same time. As a result, i can't remember just what was on what video, soooooo...
I liked the idea of using still photographs to introduce each "section" or location. I liked the use of black and white, and the use of sepia to the different sections.
I feel you could have paid more attention to lighting, as sometimes you were backlit ( eg in the field, with the sepia effect ) and I had a hard time seeing what was going on as there was this distraction ( the sun ) drawing my attention away from your spinning.
You could have done without the non poi stuff ( IMO ) Just what was that guy whacking that thing supposed to represent ? The call to prayer was interesting, but I would have liked to see it incorporated into one particular section rather than being a stand alone bit. You could have, for example , done a spin in front of a Mosque.
IMO, both videos could have been edited together into one longer " Spinning across Italy" type of presentation with a common style of music, like Italian, tieing it all together.
Your spinning looks great, and I would have preferred the camera zoomed on a little more on you rather than trying to show the various locations that you used. We can still get the idea of where you are by your use of titles for the different sections, and again, a "regional" style of music will aid that too.
I don't agree with your use of the word "crappy" as a descriptor. You obviously put time and effort into these videos and except for the "suggestions" I made above, it shows.
Cheers.
