Hi, I'm Rebecca from Canada, or more specifically, British Columbia. I'm nineteen and I have two computers and one cat.
I also write a lot.
I'm new to poi and found out about it watching Courtney Marit on Survivor. Recently I ordered a pair of practice poi and a book and a video and although I hardly have the time to practice because of school and work, I'm really getting into it. I have the weave down pretty well and I can do the butterfly only somewhat. This is only three days in, however.
I like getting up in the morning and swinging poi around a bit before starting the day. It's just relaxing like that. I also like indie music, fondue, and my favorite show is The Office
I'm also really glad that I found this site. It's just so well organized, and the community seems promising. I'm looking forward on getting to know you guys.

Ha, yeah. I joined HoP a while back but didn't order anything for a bit becuase I was still considering actually trying it or not, and I didn't want to post anything if I wasn't actually spinning poi.
Luckily I did; it's kind of addicting. My goal right now is to spin well enough so I can go out and buy about a pair of LED poi and impress some people. I'm sill hazy fire poi; I have a bit of a fear of fire, but perhaps one day... It'll be something different, to say the least.
