Hello Everyone,
This year, the Gay Games will be held in Chicago on July 15, and flaggers and poi dancers have been invited to perform in the Opening Ceremonies.
I've been asked to coordinate the flaggers / poi dancers for the show, and I wanted to see if any HomeOfPoi people in the Chicgao area would like to join us.
It's a pretty simple setup - a mostly freestyle performance on the field during Act III of the Opening Ceremonies. Flaggers will be using silk flags and poi dancers will be spinning silk poi. Flags and poi will be provided for the performers.
Participation in the performance would mean attending rehearsals in Chicago July 13 (Thursday) evening and July 14 (Friday) morning, and performing Saturday (July 15) evening.
