Hi all... I am a complete newbie to poi, fire twirling and anything/everything related. In fact, I'll only even see it in real life for the 1st time next Friday (making it down to the Moon Fest on north side of Brissie).

Anyway, this is me...

Name: Pat... but Pogo to those that know me well.

Location: Logan City, south of Brisbane, QLD, Oz.

Hometown: As above.

DOB: 17/09/1969

Age: 36 and counting...

Sex: Wouldn't that be nice?

Occupation(s): Computer Programmer. Worked for myself from home for 2 1/2 years, but have recently had to get a "real" job.

Favorite Food(s): Hmmm... pretty much anything, really.

Favorite Color(s): Green

Toys: Acoustic guitar, Classical guitar, 3 electric guitars, 2 djembes.

Hobbies other than the obvious: Music, Reading, Keeping fit (hmmm, not so much of the keeping fit, actually)

Education: Did Bachelor of Science majoring in Computer Science and Pure Maths. Then Grad Dip Appl Computing... then started a research masters, but gave it away when life got in the way.

Favorite Book(s): Have to get back to you on that one... The Anarchist was the last book I read, quite liked it.

Favorite Movie(s): Lots... Fight Club, Snatch, Lock Stock..., Finding Nemo, Pulp Fiction, Pay It Forward...

Favorite TV show(s): Don't watch tv.

Plans for life in general: (i.e. what you want to do when you grow up) I really... wish... I knew.

Favorite Music Artists/Composers: Lately... Xavier Rudd, Jack Johnson, JBT, Blue King Brown, Donavon Frankeneiter, Rob Sawyer, The Waifs... blues/roots stuff.

Favorie ice cream flavor(s): Vanilla.

Marmite, Vegemite, or Nutella? (please choose one...this is important as it is essentially this site's equivalent of stating your religion...we have religious wars, crusades, cathedrals to Nutella, all that.)

Definitely... vegemite.

Yer - have a look in my intro thread and/or pop into newbie 'hopnell' 's intro thread for the story.
So I've been training Nell up to take over the things I was doing (which if you believed ickle dragon's wouldn't have been very much), all this week and from next week I will largely be away and shortly moving on to the new challenge - want to buy a control tower???
It's certainly been fun and rewarding but I don't think I'll ever totally "leave" - I think a bit of me will still be here in one form or another and I certainly intend to keep haunting the forum - well someone has to keep an eye on Rougie. ubbrollsmile

So it's "bye" but it isn't... wink

You got me? shrug

Hope you're having a wonderful time at Uber, sweetness...*shnuggles*

Classes went well today and next weekend, we're having a lil bridal shower for Sara. After that, no classes till 1 Nov... frown

But...I do have the Road Dogs show to go to...and I'm now officially registered for the Rachel Brice and Mardi Love workshops...and I'm gonna be putting up posters here and around Asheville for the Xav show...and of course, going to the show, myself. Missy (my lil sis...gosh, that's still wierd) just emailed me and let me know that she got her tickets for both shows, so we're all set. *giggle*...and my dad has three different kinds of homemade jellies and jams that he's gonna be sending me home with...grape, blueberry, and blackberry...mmmmm...

Talk to you when you get home...loves you... hug kiss hug

Hippy Pappy belated bethuthdth bethuthday Pat - sorry I was busy hitting people with swords the last few days so I missed it. one of the many I guess :-(

And as for yummy - pretzels with chocolate on - jsut seems like a waste of choc to me. I have tried them a couple of times and I just don't get it I'm afraid. Oh well, each to their own!

But Bec - that book and accompaning items... eek remember this is a PG zone and it aint for the sake of the kids either - poor Paul (and others) get sooooo distraught...

no, no - Reese cups are generally in the "in-crowd" list!! (assuming they're the same peanut butter filled cockie thingo's we get here called Reeses cups)

They're the closest thing we have to Peanut Butter M&M's unfortunately... (unfortunately because peanut butter M&M's are generally on the Much-loved-list of my wife.

and who says I'm strange anyway?? Just a-cos I don't normally do nekkid-moon-light-dancin don't mean I is automatically strange... ubbrollsmile

Oooh...yes, I like to have the regular choco M&M's and the peanut butter ones and mix them together...and yes, I do believe those are the same Reese cups...

Now I want chocolate...arrrggggh!!!

Is more fun being strange...lots more interesting things happen that way... weavesmiley peace
