Good Morning campers! Welllllllllllll here goes!
Name: Anna-Louise
Location: Maastricht, Nederland
Hometown: Peeny weeny little town called Woodley, one of the commuter towns for London, near Reading in the south of England
DOB: 26/01/1980
Age: 26 it seems
Sex: girl
Occupation(s): STUDENT! Waahooooo!! But not for very much longer
then it will be the big wide world of WORK. But then the work I have chosen (art therapy) itsnt all that bad just finding a job IS!
Favorite Food(s): smoooooooooooothies
Favorite Color(s): yellow
Toys: new creative zen micro Mp3
Hobbies other than the obvious: other circus-y stuff. Dancing, diving and when the work starts i want to pick up sky diving again yippeeeeeeeee
Education: Normal UK stuff (GCSE's, A-Levels etc), bachelor degree in Art Therapy
Favorite Book(s): All of Fiona Walkers books and at the mo all of Dan Browns stuff (yep Da Vinci code fan!)
Favorite Movie(s): Fear and Loathing in Los Vegas
Favorite TV show(s): charmed sad but true
Plans for life in general: (i.e. what you want to do when you grow up) Move to New Zealand or Australia. And on the way live in the Middle East, Japan and China. Working all the way.
Favorite Music Artists/Composers: too many to name really, depends highly on the modd. Right we'll start with whats playing now: Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov very good for studying.
Favorie ice cream flavor(s): passion fruit YUM!
Nutella. The other two are too gross for human consumption eeeeeeeeeeeeeeerggggggggggg!!!
After all that I still would like to say:
I'm new and soon shall be getting my very first flaming poi!! Waaaahooooooooooo!
Since practising on a friends poi last summer I've been hocked on FIRE!!
Since then its been regular old training poi to get the skills up!!
Hope to learn new tricks and to hear from some interesting folks,

OOOH Holland-based person!!!! Hello,
to HoP!
It's a bit quiet at the moment because of general winterishness, but in the summer we have quite a lot of spinny/juggly meets, keep an eye on [Old link] thread for Dutch events. You're a bit out of the way, the meets are usually in Utrecht/Amsterdam/The Hague, but there's plenty of people (including myself) who could offer you a couch for the night so you don't have to head off too early if you want to come to a meet. How much longer will you be in Holland for?

I should be here till the end of the summer, longer if I can't get work.
Beautiful day outside AND my new Poi just arrived!!! Oh yes the garden is a great invention!!
So mega practising and learning correct weave then I'll be ready to BURN! Poor Boyf has been nominated as sensible fire guy !!!

Ooh, circussy skills! Now you HAVE to come! There will probably be a meet in early April when Vanize & gf come to Holland - but they're staying at our place so the spare bed is taken, but I'm sure something can be sorted out if you & bf want to come & stay the night somewhere!

In answer to your question:
Art therapy is a lovely form of psychotherapy. Uses art and less talking really.
The idea is that any problems you have that effect your daily life will occur in the creative process, so within the creative process you can explore that problem, try out new alternatives, etc.
The circus project was with kiddies. Circus is great for their self-esteem. you should see their faces when they master a new skill!! And woah do they pick it up fast!
