Whats happened to my faveorite website?
People biting off each others heads and being rude to each other?
Being upset when there is a new game?
What is wrong w/ everyone? Noone is acting how they used to.

1. Baby poop comes in many colors.

fire tom thats not true i mean when all the post whoring arised loads of nastyness came out and i know it was my fault and i felt really bad (but no one told me about the whole spelling thing etc)

What's happened is that HoP has grown to nearly 30,000 members. It's impossible to ask all those members to carry on without offending other people, impossible for them to like and get on with everybody on here. It's just like a normal community (such as town/city etc) not all the inhabitants get along 100%.
Do you get on with absolutely everyone you've ever met? the Answer is no. Personalities clash, that's all that's happening. That's not a bad thing. Shows individuality. The world would become a boring place if everyone liked the same things, had the same views etc...
BTW, this isn't a moan about the huge number of members. More of a compliment.

This is not the worst it's been, nor the worst it will be. We were always this rude to each other. We never really all got along. You were just on different threads.
When you first sign on it's all exiting and you make friends. Then you make enemies. Then you realize some of the the enemies aren't really all that bad. Then you realize some of the friends aren't really all that good. Then you find a few select people who you actually have a real friendship with. Then you fret because you don't get to be in real life with them as much as you'd like. Then it happens countless more times and every time someone posts something like this. Then someone else posts something exactly like what I'm writing right now.
Yawn.
See you in 6 months.

I could search for more. I remember at least 4 or 5 more instances that I know I responded to but I think I'd rather just go home and take a nap.
It's kind of like how everyone liked Saturday Night Live "back when it was good" but if you watch those old episodes it was actually just as sucky as the ones today.

i had "lurked" around this site for about a year before sigining up. i have noticed alot of rudnes towards newbies. mostly from the old schoolers. they seem not to have the patcients when it comes to things that feel are obvious. for instance; searches, spelling/gramitcal errors. it makes newbies feel unwanted, and like outsiders. anytime someone feels like an outsider, there's going to be hostility............that and what NYC posted about friends/enimies

NYC, it has indeed been discussed ad naueseum but it has NOT been discussed more times than sparkley poi. Nothing messes with sparkly poi. If the search engine and I got on better I would try proving it.
In the last or second to last incarnation of this question FlashFire called HoP a menopausal woman, which I thought was great.
Devils army we could still do with capitals no offencse its just still a little hard to read!
NYC, you still owe me to tell me where to find trance. Altho I don't know what it will take me to move after working like 15 hours in 20 wherein I also had to commute and sleep...

Aw, but that one was great! Its only run on sentences with no captials that really get confusing
Anyway its great practice, my typing and several of my friends have improved immensly from forums and im's....

S'crazy. I totally agree with what NYC is on about. It's like any community. People are going to step on toes. I know I've done it (s'more stomped, and then repeatedly jumped up and down on really, but meh....).
DA: No one, as far as I could tell, has been mean to you. We were mearly trying to encourage you to make posts actually worth reading.
And this thread is hardly about you anyway. The way you're posting, you seem to think that you, or those that "told you off" are responsible for this. Thats not it at all, its just the way a community works. HeyaHoney: Your reg date only says you've been on 2 years....
Though to be honest, I'm not entirely sure where this has come from. Is it perhaps that one of your threads was locked? If so, I totally blame the LTC chap. And FRD and his damn Hips. 
Don't worry about that, no one was being insulting, just expressing our opinions.Otherwise, I haven't seen any obvious unpleasantness
-edit- as for grammar and all that... its worth putting in an effort. It makes more sense to read, and it makes it easier to make a point. Plus it makes you look smart.

I seem to find it differcult. It has taken me 2.35minutes just to write this and check spellings and punctuation. Even now i know i have spelt things wrong.

Ah, the good ol' days. I remember when you could shoot a newbie on site. And post whoring was only allowed in licensed establishments.
But then, we got ourselves a new Marshal. Marshal Flash Fire. Who along with her Deputy Dog, started to bring Law and Order to these here regions.
Some folks think its gotten better. But I still get a tear in my eye about the good times we used to have.
