Just wanted to introduce myself, my names Calv, i'm, 32 and come from Hampshire UK.
I've only just been introduced to poi/staff by my girlfriends daughter and it looks real addictive. I have 2 daughters aged 6 and 7 years who are also real interested, they got thier first set of poi the other day. I'm going to attempt a home made staff later for them too.
Seems like a great site here with all the info that i'll ever need so hopefully i'll see you around the forum to pick up tips and ask stupid questions! wink

I figured that if i learned the poi and staff stuff, i could help my little ones do it, and maybe the cool sreet cred i would get would compensate for the embarrassment i cause my kids when i dance! redface

Bye for now,

Calv.

ooo cool, my sister wouldn't stop bugging me to get her some poi when i got mine, but it thought it might be a little too difficult for her. but if you can teach your children to do it i might be able to teach my sister, seeing as she's a little bit older (8).
tell us how their learnings going.

ummm.... i'll edit this when i think of something witty to say

My state of mind is not yours to define!

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."
