heyo, this is Bonnie. I live in South/Southwest Minneapolis. I'm wondering if anyone else is around that area, that would like to poi with me sometimes. I'm basically a beginner (cant do 4 or 5 beat chase yet), so i would appreciate someone helpin me out sometime. : )
I'd like to light up within the next 10 years or so, lol.
hmmmm about me:
i'm a little crazy
fire is happy
i use happy as an adjective
i have a passion for nature/animals
i love spinning (So much fun!!!!)
i like it when people are so funny i do this
i like talking to people
written descriptions of tricks/moves confuzzle me
most of the lessons/threads on here dont help because of this.
hold on, need to spin.
ok back (still cant get the 5 beat chase.....*sigh*)
i have a cat that chases our faeries but rarely corners one

I'm about to be 16 (mid/late oct)

thanks for the welcomes guys!! oh i'm happy because i just got the backwards chase (not behind the back, the one where you start by spinning backwards) this weekend!! i know it seems simple, but i'm glad i can do it now. if anyone knows where it is, lake calhoun is a great place to go spin. nobody bothers you, and most importantly they dont care if you thwack yourself with the poi or not....lol. theres also alot more room than my deck ^.^ you'll see me down there atleast a couple times a week until snow flies. can anyone do behind the back stuff? huggles for you all

everyone started somewhere and im pretty sure everyone remembers how hard it could be starting out
it took me 2 ~ 3 weeks to get the weave

or jst try it myself stright off - from watching a vid or sumthing - more fun because you stumble across new stuff :F
