Hello all...
(I know this should maybe be posted in Chat, but the people I'm trying to reach don't go in there much, so I'm hoping the mods let this stay... pleaseeeeeeee
)
In a Dunc/Durbs stylee, I'm asking for your help...
Something terrible happened at the weekend - I lost all my best, most favourite CDs.
It happened like this:
I was visiting someone lovely in Edinburgh at the weekend, and decided to take the coach - much cheaper than flying.
While the bus was stopped in Glasgow I got off to use the toilet. The driver said he would wait... but he didn't, so all my stuff went on ahead of me.
I collected my things when I eventually arrived in Edinburgh, but didn't notice anything missing...
The next day I realised I had lost my CD case containing ALL my most favourite CDs. All my funk, dub, Schpongle, irreplaceable goodness that I have collected over the last few years while travelling. Whimper.
It's not in Citylink's lost property - so I have to assume they're gone. I only hope that someone is appreciating them as much as I did
I loved my music and I'm fairly gutted that it's gone.
However, I see two bright linings to this tale of woe.
Number 1: The important lesson to never, ever keep all your favourite music in one place - especially when you don't have copies of it 
Number 2: This is a global website, and there are people out there with great taste in music... so maybe if I ask really nicely, and grovel a bit, some people will send me some great things (And it'll be interesting to see what kind of collection I end up with!)
So there you go. Sigh.
The lovely person I visited kindly copied some great tunes, some Bill Hicks and some incredible stuff of his own - so my collection now stands at 4 CDs (albeit, great CDs ).
So can you help me?
I'm asking you to copy your favourite CD and post it to me. I know it's a huge favour to ask, but it's my only option as I have no money to replace all the ones I lost.
If you do want to help out... Pm me and I'll give you my address.
Also, there's a few people out there who I gave copies of my CDs to. Is there any chance you could copy the stuff I gave you and give it back?!! Lol. Goddamit. Sorrys.

I don't have a funky cool computer that allows me to download stuff.
It's a crappy dial-up that automatically breaks internet connection after 2 hours - which is why I can't see avatars or signatures either (cos otherwise I'd be on here all day ).
Oh yes, and I don't have an MP3 player either. Just yer old-fashioned CDs

firepoise, i know your pain. i always find that when you loose something its better to replace what you loose with something better, this is why im *text removed by Dr. F* then i'll give them to Tainted over the weekend and she can take them all up to you.(unless of course you decide to come down here too...)
you can keep what you want and dump what you dont.all you have do is put the cds into your pc and copy & paste. then you can burn onto cd that plays in normal cd player.
dont be too sad chicken.

Since this is a public forum where posts actually come up in a google search, but letting you do this, Malcolm could get in trouble. So, you might want to at least edit your original post so that you aren't asking for non-specific CD's.

I lost my CDs, I'm looking for help in replacing them from a global community which (for the most part), is friendly and generous and considerate of others mistakes (as most folks here love their music ).
With regards the 'other little gems' comment - a few people on here also write and produce their own music - and I'm just as interested in hearing that as anything signed.
