I have just signed up to home of poi and thought it would be nice to give an introduction. I am a longserving performer / artist and I have a workshop in Brighton for building performance costumes, Fire and anglegrinding equipment.
I am currently building a new website to cover my costume and equipment design work. I intend to go live at the end of this month. So I am quite excited about the possibilities and future ventures to come.
I am not particularily good at poi I'm better at making them. I am more at home with staff or swords and anglegrinders.
If you have any equipment construction questions or requests I can probably be of some assistance.

Gotta love those angle grinders. I reckon there must be a way of grinding and doing staff/poi at the same time.

Pink...? - Aye pink is cool
Mags the jedi - Staff and grinding let me think........ You could either have a staff attached to a motor and attach it to your helmet or back plate and grind quite comfortably or alternatively get a metal butt plate and sit on a running angle grinder while doing staff lol.
Synapse and Ry - Thank you for your comments and yes it is about to become a true labour of love as I have dumped my engineering job to start costume making full time.
