wondering if anyone had any advice?

I've been considering these (from firetoys). Anyone used them before?

btw if anyone has used these - how long do the batteries last and how do they look?

I think its either these or a couple of the beaming balls from the HOP shop to add to my chains.

Depends what you want from them. Personally I'd go for beamers every time - take AA batteries, have a constant colour which looks better in my opinion, and are indestructible.

Plus I don't trust firetoys, but that's just me.

There are some good LED strobe affect poi on Ebay they are made by tribalglo who sell there stuff only on ebay. I've got a pair and they are quite good, and their batteries should last about 12 hours. I payed £21 (thats including postage) but it depends how the bidding goes as to the price you get them for. They have 5 LED,s Red,Yellow,Blue,Green and Red. and have seven settings.

N_A_G - Why don't you trust Firetoys? All the dealings I've had with them have been flawless (And yes, I know I moderate on their site, but even before then they provided good service and products)

As for different glow poi...

Try doing a [Old link] and you'd get [Old link] of results smile

*BUMP*

I am bumping this thread again for the newbies. The links lead to all the most relevant info. and reviews about glow products. Thanks Durbs! I've searched for 'glow poi' threads before and did not get as good results as these.

Incidentally, does anyone know what happened with the 'illuminati' poi being designed by PIP Jo Derry? Found a thread where everyone was rating them high, but no more info. plus the links to pictures from said thread have expired.

How are the 'Atom balls strobe glow poi' on the firetoys link up there on the first post? Any good? I kinda wanted these at first but I couldnt get them since I had very little money in my bank account, cant deposit anymore myself because all the banks in my area are having building work done ion them all at the same time! Ugh the stupidness! So there all shut.

How are these guys any good? I think they look like the best glowy poi out there ive ever seen (and that inclused that prototype strobe poi thingies that everyone thinks looks great somewher eon these forums, and no doubt very expensive they didnt impress me at all.

Think you can get the same ones from balls-u-like.biz, don't know which site sells them cheapest. I don't know what they're like to use either, but i'm also tempted to get some because they're reasonably cheap and i've heard they're pretty durable.

I've cracked one of my beaming poi balls frown

It was a kind of conker effect. It doesnt seem to have done any considerable damage but I'm a bit concerned that the crack might get larger with repeated knocks.

I might get some liquid silicon and paint them so they bounce a bit better in future.

I think MiG was referring to Trigan's post.

HOP sells cheap LED toys (under £20 I reckon)

The hyperlights are

going to be cheap ( as in they will be above £50).

I think thats what he meant.

*IMHO* You cant advertise cheap glo poi on here as HOP sells them already. HOP however, does not sell high end expensive glo toys, which means that advertising stuff like hyperlights and 2nd hand aerotech stuff is ok. Thats just my personal opinion though, not the final word from the man upstairs....

Ah yes.. I guess the coffee hadn't kicked in this morning! I share your opinion as it happens although if the boss would rather they weren't pimped here, I shall keep my mouth tightly zipped. I suspect he's alright about it as I'll probably end up selling them through HoP anyhow smile

...and don't forget the Illuminati - like HyperLights, only different and available much MUCH sooner. I'm really looking forward to seeing some of those 'in the flesh' biggrin
