So as those of you who followed my trip to England may know, my first action upon arrival was to get a mobile phone. This is because not having a mobile phone for a month is about the most crippling social ailment one can have.

Now that I'm back in the US, I still have the phone, but it's useless here. So I'm going to send the phone back to England where it will reside under the kind roof of Mr. Chutney.

I had a pay-as-you-go Virgin SIM card, but Virgin Mobile is pants, (12p a minute and 12p a text? I think NOT!) so I'm going to recommend that a non-Virgin SIM card go in. Anyway, it'll be a couple of weeks before it gets back to him, but all UK visitors may make use of the phone once we get it sorted.

Hi all
Yes, Elly still has the Spiffy Slidey Samsung phone. She will be coming back to UK in a few days and if it's OK with all would like to keep it till she leaves.. mid August by current plans

Righty-

Lightnings gone off to work and we both forgot to sort out phone 2, so for now the first phone will have to suffice- Quite funny that there a re loads of foreign spinners in the UK at the moment and yet none has requested the phone (although I supoose if they read the thread properly they'd realise its not available anyway....)

ANYWAY...

Is anyone wanting to make use of the phone from mid August onwards? Please reply here or PM me as the pphone will be delivered on a first come first served basis, HOP credentials withstanding smile

I have an Orange pay-as-you-go... the crappy little Samsung phone I bought is "locked" to Orange and the dodgy people in Camden couldn't unlock it, so this is my donation to the cause as well... I give it to my poi spinning friends who travel to the UK.

This one's in the mix too...right? Available?
'Elly's' D500 phone is working well and invaluable for keeping track of her!
Cheers!
Howzit going in the state Mr C? Work? Fun trip?

Myself and my partner will be coming over in January next year and it would be good to have a phone to use while we look for jobs and also to get in contact with any HoPpers would there be any chance that we could borrow it till we can manage to arrange one of our own (we will be getting our own once we have jobs to pay our way)...

It would be so helpful and we would be so grateful....

And I might have been able to persuade my daughter to actually stop having a wonderful time trolling around Europe and come back to her school uniform and domestic duties by January!!!

Well, that's it. My wee daughter (formerly of school uniform etc) has now transformed into Princess Elly, International Adventure Babe, and is now returning to Oz... somewhat sadly I believe, after a wonderful time with HoPpers and at Festivals (Buddhafields... Big Green Gathering... and amazingly, PLAY!!!)
And I was able to keep in touch through the HoP UK Visitor's Phone.... so a big PUBLIC thankx to Doc Lightning for the idea, clap and Mr Chutney for the Slidey Samsung hug what a great idea and kindess!! ubblove

Fenix Fyre has has already requested the phone in January but if its free you're more than welcome to borrow it-

Only problem is that the phone has been returned but I think Elly has inadvertently taken the the SIMM with her, so once thats back I can get it shipped out to the next Hopper in need.

Miss Elly is currently floating in a box in space.. (Elly in the Sky with Sim Card ?) somewhere between Korea and her own bed...

but we shall sort this silly situation asap!

Actually I suspect that if she has indeed put the sim in another phone it is still in London with Tom....

Edit PS: Yep...she says that it is with Tom....and apologises for being a ditz when handing the Slidey over... I'll make sure he gets your address.

there is now a Aussie/Adelaide HoP phone for use. At the moment DeepSoulSheep is using it on his travels. I may be able to get a second phone for HoPpers heading over.
