Was on another forum using my nick PyroGyro, out of interest did a search for PyroGyro on Google and found me mentioned here on some thread. Joined, posted reply to mates on another thread. Only just found out about this part ... D'oh, a deer!

Have only tried poi once or twice and scared myself silly, I'm really used to club swinging and really get 'noyed when Fire Poi tangle frown
But I've just re-read what I've just typed and realised that the answer is I should practice lots before doing it on fire ! D'oh another dear! A female deer.

Anyhow... will post some firewheel pics when I make a new wheel (and buy some lavender oil)

What can I tell you about me smile)))

I love and always have loved fire ... my family remember when I was a toddler and could be kept quiet by dumping me in front of a coal or log fire. Only problem was I always wanted the poker smile

I think my parents realised what was in me ... from the age of about 10 I had a weekly "Chore" that involved taking burnable rubbish down the garden and burning it. I had to take a bucket of water with me and make sure nothing buring blew away.

This "chore" was a safe way of me feeding my fire habbit. I think they were very wise in this smile

Stayed up all night on a campsite once in Amsterdamn (Fly Wood Campsite, north of city) and was with a juggler and a mate from U.S. The juggler was bored and wanting to do things we could all do. I remember doing a puncture years back and noticing the spin of a wheel held by the axle ---- wait for it--- so I suggested we rob a wheel off one of my pushbikes (I had 5) so we got a wheel each and started spinning them. They can be held by the axle and if you relax and just support the axle then the wheel acts like a spinning top.

This is how I do my fire act. Front wheel of a bike, take off tyre and inner-tube. Put Fire wick round two or three of the spokes. Spin and burn smile
Problem with FireWheel is that the rim gets very very hot and so part of the act is NOT to let this touch your arm (usually the arm that is holding the wheel)

I've been doing the FireWheel (PyroGyro) for about 10 years on the streets, in clubs, motor-bike rallies etc Love fire smile Love fire smile Love fire smile))))

I promise if there is enough interest I will get some piccies done.

I knew someone local whose act involved 2 wheels with extended handles ... I don't advise this. If you support the axle without holding on to it then you don't get the "kick" back. You may have noticed this kick when using an electric drill or riding a shaft-drive motorbike

maybe he has been abducted by Aliens!

Well, I was sat at my PC when a straaaaange blue light began to flash at my window, straaange costumed me took me away in their spacecraft which was disguised as an Earth Van.. but it still had flashing blue lights on like any other spacecraft...

They spoke a straaaange kind of English and asked me all sorts of stupid questions ... then they took me home .... pretty far out eh I thought

Do you like the colour pink?

Sorry... I'm a tall grim looking male... if I went around liking pink I could aquire the wrong sort of reputation ... but I read a book that explained {amonst other things} why girls (even as babies) prefer pink ... a friend of mine painted her car pink with red love hearts on .. that was the best use of pink that I really liked smile shame the local kids didn't like it frown they kept on turning it on it's roof ... btw is Tootsie pink too ?

GothFrogette, love the bit about heathens, I'm a northerner me smile my lady (southerner) always calls me barbarian, monkey etc etc smile

The last forum I was on was a very serious one ... this is such a great vibe here I'm really smiling loads

Take care y'all smile and thanks again all of you for the warm welcome hug
