hello fellow spinners, just wanted to introduce myself. Just got my very first poi set and am as excited as a small kid who's had too many sunny delights!!!
I'm new to this site but as far as i can tell it looks to be the best out there and its got a more 'wordly feel' if you know what i mean.
Anyway seeing as i'm at work i'd better not stay too long. Looking forward to the spinning banter with as many people as possible.

Incidently. Rock climbing! Wicked sport. We've got one of the biggest indoor rock centres in europe (i think). A place called Ratho, just outside Edinburgh.
Going to have to go out there soon.
So many cool sports to do, not enough time!!!

Sorry didn't tell you guys anything about me. How rude!
I'm a scottish lass, from the highlands originally, but now stay in Edinburgh.
Just started poi - ohmigod where has it been all my life- and love all sorts of extreme sports. Cos lets face it, if there's no risk, there's no fun!!!!

Done any outdoor? There's this brilliant crag a few hours drive from where I live; sometime last year I had the luck to tag along with some rockcrazy friends.
There's nothing like doing a fabulous climb just before sunset- the rock glows so amazingly and when you're at the top you get to take the sunset in..
Of course then the mosquitoes come out and hunt you down like seagulls to icecream..
I so know what you mean about where has poi been hiding all this while. See a couple of people around who've been spinning for a couple of years and they're mesmerising fire/flag/poi dancers now. And 3 years ago I was probably looking for a new activity too..
