So here I am again. It's been a while hasn't it. My alto sax initially got a lot of use. Funny isn't it, how a fulltime job takes away all your spare time. Haven't had any time to poi too, apart from Jugglejam on Mondays and the monthly Moonfests. And even then, it somehow seems I tend to play with the stockwhip instead of poi shrug

Another lens has been added to the stable too. A Canon EF-S 10-22 3.5-4.5.. nice and wiide. But it all boils back down to that time issue. Despite having the new lens, I seem to find I'm out taking less pictures.. the folio hasn't been updated in a while, and I'm starting to get the horrible feeling I'm stagnating. Must. Get out of this rut.

If you're my muse and reading this, inspiration needed now. hug

-Edited 14 Dec 2005-

I liken this to opening the fridge to find that jar of misc what's it, several months expired ubblol. Hey how's it going? wave

So what's new! Well.. poi's getting a bit better for one thing. Nice how after poi-ing for a while, you stop hitting yourself senseless. In fact, one might argue how after a certain point, each hit puts more sense into you.. wink Haven't gone skating or rockclimbing in a bit, but that's ok- life's full of wonderful distractions, and really, you can only do a couple at a time.

University's just wrapped up! Yep. A degree in art & visual culture, television & digital media.. Just waiting for a piece of paper at the moment (yay!). And trying to sort out how Australia will let me live here forever and ever biggrin. Have I mentioned how wonderful it is, you so ought to visit *nudge* wink Also been getting out the with photography and stuff- a couple of projects to follow up on, blue skies and puffy clouds as far as I can see.

Updates updates. [insert geek] I've updated my camera gear too.. my 20D, 17-85 4-5.6 IS and 580EX now have a 70-200 2.8L IS to play with.. soon too, riding on getting a particular gig, either a 350D and a 24-105 f4 IS, or another 20D.. -grin- [/end geek]

[edit 14/12/05: Gig didn't go through, and ended up performing at it instead of shooting it ubblol Life has a funny way of messing you about doesn't it.. so no 2nd body for me just yet, or nice 24-105 f4 IS redface]

Been taking lots of photos lately. I think there's something intrinsically beautiful in capturing moments- you know how you look at a photo and it brings you back to where you were that day, who you were with, how the air smelt even.. Maybe one day I'll get to exhibit ubblove.. but yeah.. lots of work to be done meantime.

Hmmmm.. yes the world's beautiful today. It's good to have new toys, new moves, new direction.. old friends hug.. a best friend hug2, and enough distractions not to get bored for too long.

Btw.. favourite words haven't changed.. ubbrollsmile And mm.. I'm still not too close to balletic, and dulcet..

Hmm.. la la la laaa squawk.. footinmouth

[edit 14/12/05: I now have a beautiful alto saxophone- the best use of which I have thus far found, is to attract ducks and other misc waterfowl]

Yep, how about we say still aspiring. biggrin

Hope all's well with everyone- don't be strangers now! hug biggrin

I've been exploring this site a bit lately, and have decided everyone seems like a nice bunch- thought it's about time I said hello. Ryan, 24, born in Singapore, but Brisbane Australia has been home to me for the past 3 years.

I love photography, playing the guitar (if one took a picture of me with my guitar, it looks like I'm playing it- does that count?), getting from point A to B on my trusty mountain bike, inline skating and hockey, occasionally rockclimbing, and just being in good company. I'd also like to add poiing to the list when I stop hitting myself senseless.

Irrelevantly, my two favourite words (I've got heaps if anyone's interested) are 'balletic' and 'dulcet'. 'Balletic', unfortunately, isn't a word I'd use to describe anything I can do, and 'dulcet' is a word I haven't dreamt of aspiring towards yet.

Enough for now, don't be strangers! biggrin

Andrea: sibilance is a gorgeous word! I must say that you're impressing me very well so far smile Cake for you for sure. I'll even circulate a memo amongst the bouncers so that you can come back for seconds wink

The marriage thing- unfortunately...

Well, I'm not sure the polygamy thing works for me.. They make duvets only so big you know wink

What do you think of triquetra (triqueta) as another word?

Lou: lol! You know you want a harem. You know you do ubblol

Gnorc: Never liked poo days that much, myself. Thought it'd be good for a laugh smile hug Glad you like it- yes it's Perth..

ubblove I love new words! Now if I can only figure out a casual way to slip triqueta into a sentence today...

* Hmmn. That shouldn't be too hard actually!*

Thanks for the cake!ubbtickled I needed some this morning to be sure... As long as I get cake, and the odd yummy word, I can do without the whole marriage thing...

Yeah, not so sure the polyamory bit is really working for me, either...grouphug Having a hard time keeping track.ubbloco It can indeed be stressful! When I meet the right one though... In the meantime- no worries about duvets ,as it is almost summer!
wink winkYipee!
Have a brilliant day

Andrea: Almost summer? You must be on the other side of the world then. Winter's just creeping in right now actually. Getting a slight bit nippy. Worse though, the air feels somewhat smoky- must be some bushfire out somewhere.

Triquetra (triqueta)'s a pretty word. I only learnt it this morning thanks to Miss Lou (Adya) here biggrin

Had a reasonable day today- bit of uni, managed to sneak in a burn too to give a photography student friend a subject to snap. Hope all's peachy with you too? smile

Lou: I know I know.. I've got 2 words from you now.. triquetra (triqueta) and looming ubbrollsmile I'd love to add louming (when a Lou stands over your shoulder watching your every move) but the nice folks down at Oxford have yet to add it..

Sorry- been rather quiet today- didn't even get a chance to have a cup of tea. Come to think of it, I missed dinner even.. eek And it's 10 past midnight now..

*wonders whether to eat and go sleep*

courts: Unfortunately.. still not showing. It's linked to a file on your own computer you see. You'll need to upload it instead of linking it..

A mental dance? Mind if I tag?

*waddles along*

Studying? Well.. bit of a mouthful- but shortened version is Visual Arts, Television and Digital Media at uni. I've been enjoying it, but this semester's been quite hectic. It shouldn't be though, because I'm only doing 3 units (subjects) instead of the usual 4! Oh well.. it'll all be over soon!! Well this evil semester at least.. smile Yourself?

Kristy: Poor darl you! But then again, it's just bubba getting comfy. Let's see.. Cheer you up.. How about this:

wink hug

gita: lol! Can't wait to see them! If you see me as a giant ball of fire with legs.. gee.. I hope that's not what I am. Giant balls of fire with legs don't usually keep friends very long frown

Actually I've got a bunch of shots like that- ironically, the best shots I've taken with the snakes are those when the flames have settled down. Then they don't look like fiery snakes. I guess it's a photography problem to keep me busy (if uni lets up, at least ubblol) smile

That sounds like a really interesting degree btw- you probably don't have to worry too much about being an office drone for the timebeing- when you're qualified it sounds like you'll be spending heaps of time outdoors smile Seems like everyone else is doing something I would love to do..
